One of my top eateries in Atlanta. Every dish here is amazing. I would recommend getting a salad and a few tapas as a first timer. Let the servers recommend a wine, they are very knowledgeable. The interior is modern and graphically pleasing, which is always a plus for me. I eat here probably once a week; for the food, the wine, the atmosphere, and the late hours.

The Route is my local dive bar.  Its a cool place to go if you don't want to wait in line for a drink and you can always find a place to sit down and relax.  The bartenders are friendly and they have a great jukebox. The people in this place are usually pretty random.  An example:  Have you ever been on the 38 Geary bus?  I was on one time around 5:30 after work on a week day.  And this INSANE drunk wreck of a woman was stumbling around in the front talking mad sh*t to anyone and everyone coming on and off the bus.  Slurring her words and spinning around every which way.  "Yo b*tch what the f*** mothaf***er".  Anyways I saw her at the Route one night calmly sucking down a drink at the bar a couple of seats away from me.  I really got a kick out of that. The only down side is the bathrooms but what do you expect from a dive bar?

This ain't just the home of world-beat sounds. Within the last 10 years SOB's has emerged as NY's #1 hip-hop venue. In one week alone the club has featured names like Mobb Deep, KRS One, Slick Rick and Rakim. And though you won't find the great sounds of New York's favorite indie bands like Shy Child or My Morning Jacket getting too comforatbale within these halls the club maintains as diverse an atmosphere as ever, mixing their hip-hop with their salsa, their bhangra with their neo-soul. The VIP room would be better left as a coat check, and the two huge bannisters that guard the stage like security can make for the worst of sightlines BUT if you get there early enough to secure your footing and manage to bear the cost of one of their blue caiparinhas you're most likely in for a night of great, great music.
