I am only currently a fan of really 1 beer. Framboise. During beer week I Arrived early for work on a hot day and decided on gelato. I love their gelato they have many regular flavors and and array of new ones on a daily basis. Anyway I looked and saw they had a framboise gelato. Of course I got it  ... Niceeeeee Anyway it was great I may never see thar flavor again ... Much like the chevre I had last year.. Tickled my tastebuds and was never seen again like a 1 night stand ... Sigh

We popped into Slice for a few beers and a place to get warm -- at first glance, it was clean, open, and friendly. The staff was attentive. But here comes the bad news. I am not sure if this is a typical problem for them as many other reviewers haven't mentioned it, but holy smokes it smelled horrid in there. Like they had a huge issue with their sewage plumbing or something, I'm not kidding. It was enough for us to down our beers and move on. Had the smell not been so repelling, I would have given three stars.

This will be short and sweet...it was a rainy evening at Atlantic Station, which tends to keep the businesses a little on the quiet side. It was a nice time to try out Strip, which I had been meaning to do for some time. The diversity of the menu made it such that no matter what we were in the mood for I was confident we would find something that appealed to both of us. We were seated immediately, the restaurant was pretty close to dead, maybe 20% full. We had water immediately and the waitress came and took our drink order. Nice looking bar, which I had seen many times from the outside and everyone was pleasant. Steven was looking for a hamburger, but opt'd for the steak salad instead. I went for the sashimi salad and a couple of rolls made without rice, which I am a big fan of. Taking a look around while relaxing with a glass of wine we noticed a very diverse crowd, twenty-somethings at the table behind us with beers and burgers, many professionals unwinding, black, white Asian, New Yorkers :), diverse crowd. Only took a few minutes for my salad to come out, which was huge. Several (many several) slices of fresh sashimi served over various root vegetable peels, nice presentation, sashimi was cut very well and at a perfect temperature. Steven's salad was perfect, except for the bowl it was in, which made cutting the steak a little difficult. It was a very nice salad though, not too heavy on the dressing and plenty of food, without being overwhelming. I would have been fine with just the sashimi salad (mental note for next time), but the rolls were excellent as well. I have recently tried to get my favorite sushi bar in Atlanta to try something similar with either cucumber or daikon in place of the rice/seaweed. A quick offer and decline of dessert and we were on our way in less than an hour, which included a couple of nice relaxing glasses of wine and time for the very cold rain to pass. I'll have to give 4 stars, had no complaints on first visit, but I'm not sure there's anything spectacular about it either. The prices, when compared to other places there in Atlantic Station are around the middle, but there's a lot to choose from. The group, Here to Serve that runs Strip is a fairly solid group, though they could use some help on their website, but with their location and menu I think they've got some staying power.
