Food was decent. Not the best brunch but people don't come here to eat. They come here to party. After a night out on the town, why waste Sunday hung over at home when you can dress up, go out, and have mimosas all morning and afternoon?! That is why people come to LIME... The wait is long but who cares when you're having endless mimosas. Always good looking people around here, definitely dressed to impress. There was a birthday party that came in where everyone dressed up with a Lady Gaga theme. The staff also dressed up with a "Summer in the Southampton" theme. Only in San Francisco and probably only at Lime would this happen. A great place to people watch or just dance to the great music in your chair while having brunch. I went with people who are regulars and Laila took care of us. She is one of the most gracious servers I've ever met. I've been in the industry for a long time and I can tell she really enjoys her job and she is absolutely fabulous at it. All in all: So so food Great drinks Great ambiance Great service

Been looking for a place that plays house music for a while. Heard alot of good things about this place and read alot of good reviews on rateclubs, so I finally got around to checking it out. I was not disappointed in the least. Went last night for Balance to hear some good deep house. My friend and I walked by it the first time around cuz the sign on Hollywood Blvd isn't that well lit and you have to go in from the back. I think we were a little early cuz we got in a little after 11 and there was no line, crowd picked up after 12 though. The bouncer and guy working the entrance were both really friendly and cool, not exactly what you'd expect from an LA club. Inside had that warehouse look and vibe, just one room, red lighting, but they mixed up the lighting a little later in the night. This place isnt for those expecting a light show. The place is literally just a bar and a dancefloor, which was perfect cuz I just wanted to drink and dance. The music was FUCKIN FANTASTIC! Good DEEP HOUSE all night long! The dj mixed in some other house and dance remixes in really well. The crowd was really chill, not the typical LA scene, most were there for the music. You have to go out to the entrance to have a smoke, but they give you a wristband. Drinks were decently mixed, could be stronger, but that's just me. Prices are pretty typical LA prices, can't complain, but I'd suggest some preparty drinking if you don't want to spend alot. I wouldn't suggest this place if you're looking for the more trendy club experience. Come for the music and dancing and you'll have a good time. I had a great time here. I would definitely go again to check out their other nights.

Hmmm... I have to say in terms of decor/ambiance... this is a stunning restaurant.  How can you not be stunned at a HUGE Buddha floating on a pond???  One wall is exposed brick - 3 stories - and the other wall is cushioned in raw silk. The proprietors intended to make the restaurant an experience for the eyes.  Dark wood tables and chairs, Chinese writing on huge paper screens hanging from the ceiling, coi in the pond, stone and wood statutes watching from the perimeter, and strangely... they continued the immersion to the bathroom doors, which were labeled "yin" and "yang".   I waited with a group of confused women in the hall, wondering which was the ladies rest room because we didn't want to walk-in on a man going pee.  The "yin" is the ladies room, btw.  Seriously,  they should give some sort of clue. The food can be served family style or as individual entrees. Memorable entree was the fried snapper. Decadent dessert was the incredibly large fortune cookie - seriously, it's LARGE.  AND it came w/ 4 naughty fortunes! The remaining drinks, entrees and desserts were okay.  I find I can only criticize them, so I won't bother to explain.  Suffice it to say that they lived up to the mediocrity of Midtown restaurants - meaning, if you're looking for authentically good Asian food, go to an authentic Asian restaurant.
