I'm having a serious case of deja vu here, I coulda sworn that I wrote a review on this restaurant, but it's not with my others, so I'm just gonna write "another" review... This place is GREAT! I've only been a couple of times, but it just gets better each time I go. Always one for an egg dish, I had the California Benedict, goat cheese and roasted tomato with poached egg, and the supremely wonderful pommes Anna. My dining companions had corned beef, yogurt with granola and the spicy pork sandwich. All raved about the dishes. The chef came out to check with all the tables, and I really appreciate when a chef takes the time to see how his food is being received. He got raves all around the table! The server was very attentive, knowledgeable and likable! I'm not a coffee drinker, but their coffee is SO damn good, I had 4 cups! I would absolutely encourage you to try this restaurant, again if need be, it's worth eating there. Well done, Mission Rock Cafe!!!

First things first... The design of the place SUCKS. From the outside it looks pretty big but that is just a illusion. The dance floor is small and oddly laid out. On a packed night the bar is a timely struggle. I guess the only GREAT things about this place is the BUMBIN ASS sound system and awesome DJ's / Artist that play here. A+ If your fave artist is playing then I saw GO! If not, spend your money else where.

I actually like Halo.  For what it's trying to be-- a hip, upscale and trendy bar for all tastes-- it succeeds fairly well.  I think it was opened by the same person who created the now-defunct Fountainhead Lounge in the EAV.  Really nice simple but funky decor inside (the bar changes colors).  The music when I'm there usually switches from latin-inspired to hip-hop to chill-out lounge.  The drinks can be expensive, depending on what you order, but you should expect that from any bar of this ilk.  Ironically I've never been there on gay Thursdays, but there's usually gay men there all the time anyway.  This is the kind of bar where people will go to wear their Versace and trendy clothes.  Definitely part of that "New Buckhead" scene even though it's not in New Buckhead.  I'll go on the weekends, around 10 or 11 so that I'm ready to leave when the trendy crowd arrives to fucks everything up.
