I think it's about time I wrote a review on this place. Several of us went there for Halloween '08, and I must say that it was probably the biggest mistake of October. I'll admit that I'm not one for clubs (especially during the holidays..because..seriously?), but I'll give it a shot if it's decent. 111 Minna was anything but. Okay, granted we didn't arrive at the place until after 10:30PM, but we were literally in the front of the line and we had to wait over an hour to gain entrance. I thought it was nice that they gave us treat bags, but nothing could have made the $40 cover worth it. Music was decent (from what I can recall), but there were waaaay too many people inside! Now I can see why the wait was over an hour, but you couldn't take a teeny step without having to run into someone else. Now, we haven't even gotten to the worst part yet. I thought having to wait in line outside was bad, but I let that go, because it was our fault for having left later than anticipated, and it was after all a holiday. Plus, it isn't a club if you don't have to wait a long ass time in line. Right? Right? Well, it shouldn't be acceptable whatsoever to have to wait an additional HOUR at the bar, waiting to be served. It was absurd. I should also mention that there was one (yes, one.) bartender serving the 20 of us or so waiting around. I think I had a total of 30 min of fun. It was also close to the end of the night, when most of the guests have left and some floor space cleared up. I love San Francisco, but this is definitely not a place that I'll go back to. Why can't I give it zero stars? Oh wait, but I had that half hour of fun so I'll deal with one star.

CLASSY DIVE. SUCH A DIVE. AWESOME DIVE. PERFECT DIVE. HOLE IN THE WALL DIVE. Have I mentioned it's such a dive? As the name suggest, the bartender was a grandma who checked our IDs 3 times with different device. It's a jewel because you can only find something like this in the middle of no where in fucking ohio (no offense, i'm just a little bitter cuz used to be stuck there for years)

The club is named eleven50 because it's located on 1150 Peachtree. Now I haven't been here in ages, so I might not be qualified to write this review, but I'll give it a shot. Eleven50 is probably the premier club in the "New Buckhead" area, that part of Midtown on Crescent Street that attracts the kind of folks who would normally party in Buckhead proper. Truthfully it's a really great space-- hip decor, very large, decent drinks. However, I always thought it was too trendy for its own good, with young folks trying to pass off their Banana Republic outfits as haute couture. Some time around 3 or 4 years ago, Liquid Groove began booking their parties here, and all of a sudden eleven50 started attracting world-reknowned DJs like Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Seb Fontaine, Josh Wink, etc. Prince has played there twice after having his formal concerts in an arena. That alone is reason to go (although admittedly, not good enough for me). It's worth a trip if you're visiting and want to see the hip spots in the ATL. They'll make you feel like you're visiting a club in NYC which is just really a joke since ATL has a long, long way to go before it can compete with NYC. The Buckhead girls will annoy the fuck out of you with their "look-at-me-I'm-drunk" dancing. But it might be fun. A mixed crowd if I recall correctly, but leans more toward the breeders.
