Every time I eat here, I am horrified by the service. A date and I went for brunch and the waitress was snotty and then she served us the wrong meal. Even after I complained, her snottiness did tone down but was ever present. Recently, a friend and I went for dinner and had requested a booth (we were going to work on a website design together) and I was told that the booths were reserved for tables of 3 or more. We had to wait another 10 minutes (on top of a 20 minute wait) for a two seater table while four booths were open. After we were seated then they decided to seat other groups of two in the booths. I could have screamed. After we were halfway through our meal, I was asked if we would like to move to a booth and I politely declined while noting the unfairness of their actions. The manager said, "Oh. Sorry." I'm not going back. The food is fine, but it's classic S. Starr, which means it's something between gourmet and fast food. The atmosphere would be fun if the service wasn't so horrific.

I had my 25th here and cannot really complain about anything except the DJ being a douche and playing lame and outdated techno. I got a table upstairs in the Mezzanine and a bottle of Goose. I sent my guest-list ahead of time and everyone was let in. Bottle was brought out to me with mixers and my VIP hostess couldn't have been better. She even brought waters for my parents when they stopped in to say hi. All in all a really good experience and I would most definitely come back here and get bottle service.

I've only eaten about three dishes here: The chinese chicken tavern chips with chicken on the side in a separate dish, the spinach tavern chips, and the salad with pecan and blue cheese I believe. The portions are good for the price. I usually can never finish anything there. I always come back for the tavern chips. I love them and they are about $9.00 to $10.00 and they can be your meal. They give you so much of food and everything is fresh and good. My boyfriend has eaten the shrimp po boy, the hamburger, and the salmon burger. No complaints about any of these. The place and atmosphere can be a bit pretentious, and if you look pass the waitresses on weekend nights dressed in slinky black dresses and their boobs hanging out then it isn't so bad. I've been on Thursday nights there and its a meat feast so if you're looking for middle-age quite possibly older men who think they have money or possibly have money looking for that Ms. Right Now, then you should head to this place. The wait staff is a hit or miss. There have been times that they are very attentive and nice, and there have been times when they're slow and rude.
