I stayed here during an overnight visit to Philly, and really enjoyed my time there. It is conveniently located and really charming - I think it may be family owned, but whatever it is, the service we got from Jason there was superb and heart-warmingly friendly. Refreshing after leaving NY for a weekend away. You have to take the elevator up to the 2nd floor, but all the rest of the floors are key-operated for the guests' safety. Nice. They've got a warm fireplace going with comfy chairs, free coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and fruits for guests to enjoy around the lobby area.  And right where you check in, there is this AMAZING piece of art that spans the 2nd floor to the 4th or 5th floor, especially designed for the hotel and that depicts the hotel's logo.  So beautiful!  The place is really recently opened; it used to be a hotel and before that, a printing press, so Jason explained that every room is really different in character because of it. Our space was really nice, spacious bathroom and all the normal amenities, including free wifi. The only downsides - you can tell (maybe because its a 3-star hotel) that the sheets were worn and thin, as were the pillows.  The night time person was also somewhat unhelpful when we couldn't get our pay-per-view movie to work, but *shrug*  it was okay. They also have a hang-on-the-door card that you mark to indicate your breakfast choices - its all packaged stuff (juice, blueberry muffin, piece of fruit, and yogurt or nature valley bar), but the gesture was nice nonetheless and Jason was the one who actually delivered it. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommended.

After much fanfare, I finally went to the 'Asian Night' on Fridays. I got there early to stand in line but to my amazement,  when I got close to the front of the line, the promoter told me that I have to be with a female to even get in the club.  That is just a fucking ridiculous concept.  First of all, this is called sexism and I'm pretty sure that its generally frowned upon in modern society.  Who do they think spend the big bucks at clubs?!  All the pretty little girls?  I cannot name one girl that is not ugly that pay her own way at clubs.  Its all the guys that pay.  Guys are the source of revenue, not the girls but I digress. Anyways, once inside, I actually like the club quite a bit.  Lots of space both upstairs and downstairs.  Japanese themed decor with lanterns and same-styled seating areas which was actually pretty nice.  Good selection of alchohol and a good coat check service.  There was somewhat of a show in the middle of the night with girls hanging from the ceiling which is lame in my humble opinion.  I think it is supposed to be erotic and artsy but really, its been done before and I'm sure Its been done better. O yes and if you check this night's promotions website, the gallery shows a ton of girls.  This is because they only take pictures of the girls!  Pretty much everything about this promotions group is centered around illusion that there are just a massive amount of girls that go to their events. At the end, my friends came and we had a pretty good time.  The alchohol really helped.  Left early, but as we were leaving I think about 3 fights were going on at the same time by some Asian gangsters.

Not as good as the original Salt Lick in the middle of nowhere, but as far as airport food goes, this is one of the places (along with Mangia Pizza) that make the Austin airport one of the few airports with decent food (try Mexico City too). I like their chopped brisket sandwich.
