by Omar Heronemus on Esthetically, this is the most gorgeous of gorgeous bars in LA in my opinion. I want to live here, it's perhaps what it might be like to drink in HG Wells' brain...5 stars for that. I took my grandparents there on their anniversary a couple weeks ago, on a repeat visit as they enjoyed themselves immensely the first time they came, a year ago. We were sat and waited for service, and waited, and waited, and waited... I got up and got the drinks... waited... hungry... blonde waitress talking to LITERALLY every other table... waitress now sitting with other patrons... i alerted a lady with a clipboard of our situation, who followed me to see where we were sitting and to sort out the problem, she said she'd send the girl "right over"... she never came... grandfather, a very wise man, said "let's finish these drinks and get the beep out of here"! I ran into clipboard lady again on the way out, told her we NEVER received the service we were promised... No stars! We spent 75 minutes in the Edison that night, had a round of tasty libations AND had a WONDERFUL dinner down the street at Pete's!!!
by Ron Finkley on I'm basing my review on the nightclub aspect of this cantina. Very nice place, no cover, good drinks (at a good value), makes me a fan of this place. The only reason my friends and I discovered this place was because Havana across the street wasn't allowing us to come in (cuz we had guys in our group). Hence, we walked across the street and had a blast. Music mix was 80s and early 90s.
