by Love Simenez on The tacos here are good, although the real reason to come here is for the full Taco Tuesdays experience! Great neighborhood spot; I would recommend coming when you are ready to sip a few beers and enjoy a lively atmosphere.
by Kurdy S. on Ahh, so much hype and rave and I can finally throw in my 2 cents. I am purely reviewing just the burger and fries. The patty was prepared nicely in it's medium rare form. But I felt like there was not enough beefy flavor to it. Maybe the caramelized onions and applewood bacon took that away?? Not to mention the fancy arugula green leaves. The final piece to this atypical style was that it came in a demi-baguette roll. All of these supporting cast ingredients to the patty tasted fine and complemented each other but overall the final product steered away from the American classic style. The only thing I remotely liked about the fries were that it was lightly seasoned with salt and little herbs and the fact that it came out in a little shopping cart with the Delux logo in front of it. I would rate them as mediocre. It just did not pop. I was hoping for the potato fresh taste in the inside and crispiness on the out. [Regular Fries] As for the decor, it's a nice, clean contemporary and young professional lunch spot.
by Terresa Lunnon on Come here on a Wednesday night where the crowd is younger. Come after dinner before 10pm to avoid lines. If you're of the female persuasion, there's a chance there is no cover. The first time I walked in here, I was intimidated by the place and the prices, I didn't know what to order. So I went with a standard cosmo. I tasted it - not too much alcohol, not too sweet - PERFECTION. So good, I was sucking them down one after the other. Usually when I come in, I grab a drink then head over the dance floor where the view is. The view is alright but I love that I can see outside. And their windows really should be cleaned more often. Inevitably, some old guy is getting down on the dance floor which is always a source of amusement, as long as there's only one of them, and no more than one. Music is pretty good. Top 40 dance music. The first time we tried to request a song, the DJ's security guy (they have those?) said they didn't do requests. But if two cute girls approach you, are you really gonna deny them? So DJ took our request and we danced the night away to Chris Brown's "Forever." Highlight of our first time: Sean Penn was there. Highlight of our second night: Our friend snagged an open table and a bottom of Dom. Call me a snob but I like bougy loungey places. And I prefer a cocktail over a beer any day. But minus 2 stars because theyre so absurdly expensive and because they don't clean their windows for a place with a view. And for a place described as "elegant", the gogo dancers don't really seem to belong. Or know how to dance.
