Review for Happy Hour: $1 oysters, yay! Mayes was almost completely empty during a Monday happy hour, but the only other group had the coveted fireplace seats. The $1 oysters were the local ones, but there's no happy hour menu so you have to ask specifically which oysters were discounted. Drinks weren't as discounted as I would have liked, no mention of any specialty cocktails, just $1 off beer and well drinks. A pretty solid happy hour and no complaints, but I still like Hyde Street's better.

This is the place for late night singing and being out on the town. Martuni's is a classic piano bar spot. Sometimes the people talk over the music, but it is all part of being there. Move in close to the piano it adds to the experience. And since Octavia Lounge and the Plush Room have closed, I think it is okay to say that Martuni's is a place for cabaret like entertainment.

Well we all know it's closed due to the fire but it will be back.. First every gay club for me to go to years ago when I came out... It was always Tuesday nights then for 18+... Over the years it has gone down hill as the owners never upgraded or updated the club as other clubs modernized themselves to the changing clientle.. Maybe this fire will help them update and make it better.. who knows I was there on the Friday before it burned down and actually wasn't that bad.. the music was really fierce!! I bag on it alot but still will always remember the first days of coming out and going here all the time!
