We went for restaurant week and really enjoyed it. We did a late lunch trying to save a bit of cash since the menu was pretty much the same. The first course of hummus and salads was great, I'd go back just for that. We got the fried cauliflower (it wasn't really my thing but the SO loved it), the brussel sprouts (very good), and added on the Haloumi (crispy and yummy). For the main course we wanted the lamb and the branzino... but they came back to say they were out of the branzino (tragedy!!!) so we ordered the chicken. The lamb was very good but the chicken was nothing special (I really wish we got the branzino!). For dessert they actually brought us all three of them (I'm not sure they planned it, but it was the end of lunch and since they had it plated they gave it to us). The poached pineapple was sour but really tasty, try to combine the cookie to cut the sour. The rugelach was rich and stuck to my teeth like crazy! I didn't love it but the SO said it was his favorite (it was also the last thing I ate and I was pretty full). The semifreddo was the dessert we didn't order but they brought us anyway and I really liked it and was quite happy they decided to give it to us :) The clear winner for the night (and the thing that will bring me back) was the mint lemonade. OH MY GOD THAT STUFF IS AMAZING!!!! I'm not a big mint drink fan (I don't order mojitos) but this was the perfect combination of flavors. And last but not least, the service was great.

Came over here after Verlaine's since S wanted to take us all here since he said this place was fairly new. Upon walking in, I smelled this wretched smell in the front hallway. What is that funk? It smelled like a cheap motel...do they need to change the carpet? But I thought the decor was cute and had this swanky feel to it. The crowd seem to be a lot of cute gay boys but I wasn't digging the place. S then took us downstairs and the upstairs and downstairs are total opposite - upstairs is more chill and relaxed and downstairs plays louder music and there's more energy. I appreciate the fact they played Ting Tings but I wonder if the downstairs is a lot more popular due to the fact people were allowed to smoke downstairs? The space is not that big, so when majority of the people has cigarettes in their hand - the place is filled with smoke in the air and you can hardly open your eyes without tearing. I hate CIGARETTE SMOKE and I hate having my clothes and hair smelling like smoke. My eyes were so dry that I had to depart my them because I no longer can be the only 3 people that wasn't smoking. I recommend this place for people who loves to smoke! Sorry I would have given this place two stars but one star for cigarettes. Now I know why it smells like a cheap motel - all that cigarette smoke from downstairs risen to the top and left that place smelling funky!

Seriously, whats up with this place? Is it a dirty bar? Is it a dirty restraunt? I cant be sure. I'm gonna go with both. However, drinks were cheap and it was fast service. Still I felt really unsanitary in here and I'm usually ok with the dive bar situation. I saw dirty dishes everywhere too just sitting there... I'd never put food in my mouth in here under these conditions. But I may have a cheap beer if my roommate is djing here.
