Went here @ 10pm on a Friday night and my spidey senses tell me that this is the peak hour for the B&Ts.  I ordered a pitcher of the white sangria and we hung out in front of the fountain.  The sangria was sweet & funky not my fave.  There was a fight right behind me involving 2 guys who were then thrown out....Also some orange girls were getting angry due to someone splashing them or some such nonsense.  I say you are a. on a boat b. by the water c. by a fountain d. surrounded by crazy drunk people and you are probably halfway there yourself so RELAX.  I did go on the boat which was nice and much less crowded.  I wish I got closer to the stage & danced but I did not have the energy to weave through all those bodies.  I could see this being nice during the day and maybe other nights are best.  I was given a free burger right before I left & I have to say it was delicious, I was shocked!  I may even upload a photo of me doing the hungry human burger dance.  Overall since I was in a group it was fun here but it was a little too crowded & intense for the first place I went to.  I don't think I would bring a date here unless it was less crazy during the day/ a different night.

I dined (if you would like to call it that) at the Green Door this past Tuesday.   Our rezzos were for 9pm, right when they open.  Our ID's were scrutinized by a heavily muscled man and we were let past the velvet rope and led into a lovely tented dining area. I noticed right away how chilly and windy it was under the tent.  There was a space heater right behind me....now to find someone to turn it on.  Took 20 minutes for our waitress to introduce herself.  We asked about the heater and was told that due to Paris Hilton's movie premiere earlier this week, the fire department said "no upstanding heaters in the tented area".  So we were made to shiver.  We ordered French martinis, probably the best I'd ever sipped on. We started off with the artichoke dip.  About an hour went by, when our waitress realized she hadn't put the order in. Oopsie!!!  It came out not too long after and we were ready to DIG in, but alas, no utensils! No napkins! Grr...Now my glass is empty..where did she go? About 10 minutes go by and we order another round and the truffled mac n cheese.  Scrumptious stuff.  A must, if you plan on braving the elements in the tented area on a chilly February night!  It certainly warmed my tummy.  Our waitress graced us with her presence about  30 minutes later.  We asked about the meat and cheese platter...we were told they were "out of that".  Humph... She offered us the cheese and fruit platter and told us it would be on the house.  I guess she felt bad for us, all cold, thirsty and hungry-like. Poor girls! Shortly after the platter arrived we asked for the check and left. I saw the pictures that Doris W. posted and would love to try that steak.  I will be sure to ask for seating INSIDE next time.

There isn't a way to do half a star so i'm giving Medjool one I guess. I went here with a couple girlfriends and like a few other reviews, it came as a recommendation you could say. The people who were supposed to meet up with this are lucky they didn't show cause they would have had a horrible first impression of me after I slapped em for tellin us to come here. Let me cut to the chase: Crowd: offbeat, drunk hairy girls not realizing their breasts were falling out of their tops Venue: HUGE, the rooftop was cool, would be nice during the summer when it is warm Music: LAAAAAAME. Do not let other reviews fool you, the DJ does NOT play a mix of hip hop and top 40. He plays a mix of, bollywood lyrics over rap beats, r&b lyrics over bollywood beats, and in between that, its just straight up bolly-house (i just made up that genre of music). The one plus of this club, is after seeing a belly dancing video on their big screen, i have been inspired to take that up as a hobby. Any recommendations?!
