I went in with unknown expectations.  A local brought me here so I could pay off a bet I lost (stupid Giants losing to the Eagles). It was well worth it.  I had a Vesper upstairs, not a cocktail you usually see on a drink menu.  It was well made, although I must downgrade the bar for the use of the small shakers.  I hate the small glass with a little extra, my drink just gets watered down. We shared the lobster mac-n-cheese (a must), the duck (some of the best duck I've had anywhere) and the fish tacos (eh).  The laid back atmosphere is great.  And I have to mention the decor.  I love the hanging bamboo chairs on the second floor and the car seat booths on the first.  That alone is well worth the trip. Our service was fast and friendly.  A nice date spot.

I've been to Nikki's Beach Club 3 times and it is the most upscale nightclub that I've found in NYC. My husband and I usually go to nightclubs when we have people visiting from out of town and so maybe we aren't looking for the same things as single clubbers... what do we want? Space to dance to great music, upscale ambience to sit and have drinks and a pleasant, fun and hip crowd. Nikki's has it all!  The place has two floors. The main floor has that foggy lighting with an  ascending area of terrace-seating of white leather & oversized pillows . The only reason I will not give Nikki's 5 stars is because when I was there with my two girlfriends sitting in the leather seating area for an hour or so and we left for the restroom, when we returned, we were told that the same exact spot we were sitting in just minutes before (in fact the entire "empty" leather seating area) was now  suddenly reserved and we were not allowed to sit anywhere..... (I'm quite certain Ben Franklin could have retained the seat)  but we were all a bit miffed since the guy was needlessly rude about it. Upstairs has a mattress on the floor with big pillows to congregate for drinks....quite fun to make your own party! I haven't done the dinner but would like to try that in the future.

LOVE the MJQ Concourse...the coolest people are there regularly. Girls with bright smiles, dirty shoes and no make-up who you'd love to have breakfast with. Great music and atmosphere... The fact that it's cash only kinda keeps control on insane group shot purchases.
