I would have to say this is the worst cheesesteak joint in philly.  Like they said in almost every other review, it is a tourist trap.  All the flashy lights outside of their joint may make it look appealing but it really isn't. My qualm about this cheesesteak is that the meat is not chopped up like all the other kinds in philly, but all they do is grill 3 thin slices of the meat and put in on the sandwich and for $9. I really don't think its worth it. So to all the tourist reading this and wanting to try real authentic cheesesteaks, I would suggest you go somewhere else, maybe across the street to pats which is better than this joint, I would suggest John's Roast Pork or Tony Luke.

I went ot Buddha Bar for a friend's birthday there were prob about 15 of us all together. We just went for drinks. I was not so impressed... I compare it to being in like Disney World but without all the kids and rides. Way too themey and on top of that the door man would not let two people in our group in with out giving them a really hard time, they were a married couple, dressed fine. Everythough we had put names on a list or some crap and let them know they were part of our party. When we finally got everyone in together I found the place to be a little overly themey for me. It was WAY too big and loud and just too cheesy for my personal taste. I paid $15 for half a glass of really crappy wine which was also stupid and the coat check line was relentless. I think this place would be cool if it was in say Orlando, FL but for NYC I expected much more. If you are going to be pretentious about who you let in, let me be impressed by what's going on inside. On a up note, the music was pretty cool just awkwardly loud.

Definitely my favorite place to go dancing. unlike other places you might find in new york, where its all about the scene, here, you find great music that envelopes you completely. The scene is pretty diverse and you'll meet all walks of life from all over the world. Id recommend coming here after 12:30 when its full but not too full. Grab a drink at Pastis or Hotel Gansevoort which is also nearby. Then come by Cielo to dance to your hearts content.
