by Heath Airola on ESSR gets so many mixed reviews, so I just want to put in my two-cents. Atmosphere and drinks are 5-star. Food is 3 1/2 to 4-star. My consistent feeling when I walk in, even when one of those "I've something better to do" waitresses seats us? "Man, I just looooove this place." For the record, I'm not a hipster and I feel totally comfortable here. It doesn't strike me as hipstery. Its just straight-up COOL. I loved it when it opened, and I still love it. All their food is from Texas, and the atmosphere feels old-world European. Everything is so artfully and uniquely done. Service is kind of slow but who the heck cares? It seems purposeful - no one's trying to turn tables to make you move on out. Go here if you want to enjoy your company and food leisurely. Its the perfect balance between upscale bar, fine dining and casual atmosphere.
by Quinton J. on When to Le Club last weekend and we had a blast..... The valet in the front made the parking situation easy from the get go!! My favorite thing about Le Club is the Proprietor Gina, who is entertaining and great hostess and second is the ambiance of low key SF sophistication, it's a place I have brought both friends and business clients. It reminds me of place in Chicago that i use to frequent the was in an apartment building in the North Shore. If you are looking for mob scene this is not it, but it is not dead either..... I think its the location and ambiance that makes it a perfect mix.
by Branden Schutzenhofer on Open and accepting of all groups; set up more like a bar than a club. Interesting entertainment along with the crowd. I went on a Wednesday night due, I am sure Saturdays would be a blast.
