by Jamin B. on The atmosphere at the Edison is, for lack of a better word, electric. You almost get a buzz just walking into this place (again, no pun intended), even before you guzzle an absinthe shot or two. For such a hot spot, it is shockingly easy (last one, I promise) to get in, as long as you make sure to show up before 9. You step out of an alley off of 2nd street and into another era. Silent films are being projected onto the walls. The bartenders are wearing snappy vests and ties. The wait staff are clad in uber-sexy flapper dresses. And the entire warehouse is decked out with gadgets and gizmos galore. No idea what all these devices turn on, but SOMETHING is definitely being turned on in here. Oh that's right. It's you. The drink prices are moderate-to-high, but given the lack of a cover charge I think we can all afford to pay an extra buck or two for a well-made a cocktail. It's worth it. And I'll bet you most drinks will still be cheaper than their counterparts in Hollywood. I came here last Friday with a few friends and I liked it so much that I'm going back this Friday. by Jenny L. on So this is where all the iBankers hang out at night. No wonder I feel robbed everytime we buy a drink. Were we mistakenly charged $12 for a Corona? Is it REALLY that expensive? They need to do something about the ventilation. I can see the sweat dripping off the walls downstairs. Talk about gross. That said, I guess I am a fan of no cover all night.
by Casey Bisikirski on If you have to go to a club with guys they better be worth the bottle service you have to buy to get in. The hostess was chill and our watiress was pretty down with the booze fest that went on at our booth. The music was insane and the dj even had a shot of tequila with me! I nearly fell on my ass though getting down to the dance floor which for some reason had one big ass step going all around it. Dope ass place.
