by Elizabeth B. on If you schlep all the way over here, it's a major drag to have a 2 hour wait for a lane. For two people. OK, it was Saturday night, but they don't take reservations and the risk of that long a wait is really something to consider. But we were there already so we figured we'd blow my Living Social coupon on drinks in the hope that 2 hours was an exaggeration. Table service at the bar was slow, and the wings are an exact replica of the nasty greasy ones they sell at the Crown Fried Chicken by my house for $3.50 instead of $14. We waited about an hour and a half for a lane, had two rounds of pint--sized cocktails at $11 each and gave up. It's probably a funner place at a different time.
by James M. on I wasn't going to review this place, because I've only gone a couple of times since they remodeled. I mean, look at my profile pic, it is actually from the old 3rd Floor. That's how old I am, folks. Anyhow, I like what they did with the place. The menu is nothing to write home about, and the service sucks as usual, even though most of the waitresses are pretty hot. Food, drinks are decent as usual. I don't go there to eat or their drink menu. I go there to meet people and hang out with friends. That's the thing about Ktown. It's not superb, it's not terrible, but it's comfortable and you know what to expect. And every Korean out there knows that even though you vow not to "do Ktown" somehow you often end up there many a night. Ehhh, that's Ktown for ya... whaddyagonnado? *shrug*
by Dana Bironas on I'm liking the new digs. I miss the old bar but hey that's progress. Guys can you throw us a bone and carry a crappy beer like PBR tho...? As much as I like your fancy pants, high falootin beers why don't you put a crappy one on tap just for comparisons sake?
