by Andrew P. on I've always been a fan of Lawry's back in LA, and have been searching for a comparable Prime Rib location here in Philly. Dear God, Thank you for putting Prime Rib on the spot! First off, I was a bit skeptical after reading a post by an mad woman a few post down, ranting about service, food, PMS, etc.... and then notice that Douglas responded to her outcries and chronologically wrote up that dreadful evening's horrors. If a manager can account for the patron's behavior to clear up any misunderstanding, that's a plus in my books. My friends and I opted for the Restaurant week menu, and I was curious to see if the rateclubs special was valid too, but alas, our waiter said no... A few minutes go by when an appetizer dish that had no resemblance to a salad comes by to our delightful surprise! A succulent bacon wrapped salad seared in simple balsamic vinegar that instantly found its way into my stomach. Can You Say "HEAVEN"?! Douglas, the manager stated above, made a visit to our table asking how the rateclubs special was. Immediately I asked if he was the man responsible for the rateclubs debate and it was nice to put a face to the man. Great Guy! The Prime Rib, Creamed Spinach and Mash Potato was outstanding! Medium=Medium, Medium well=medium well. Everything was brought out according to our exact order. And the key lime pie? *drooool* It's the little things that makes fine dining a great experience. The decor, the tables, the attention that waiters provide to every individual dining at the establishment. Douglas, staff of The Prime Rib, thanks for an amazing experience! Hats off to you guys
by yt h. on They have the hottest bartender i ve everseen, on the first bar (most left) when you enter the dance floor. This is definitely a good thiing to start with. Music, gals, and everything else is great, sign up gueslist to receive weekly promotion. Definitely a gogogo club.
by Lonny Phoenix on I came in to grab a bite with my boss before our 8pm show at the American Conservatory Theater. I was unaware of their 8pm jazz show; I will def not miss it next time. We shared the mac & cheese croquettes and eggplant & zucchini jambalaya. By golly, that was delicious. The biscuits were incredible. I ordered an extra basket to go (although I should have stopped at my second biscuit). Times like this almost fully redeem the fact that I overpay for my studio apartment in Downtown/Union Square area. Minor complaint: the place is pretty cold and, according to our server, they don't have a heater, so bring a jacket.
