ok so ive been here twice and i didnt know that i havent reviewed it yet. this place is great awesome and fun. def a date night type of place.  everywhere you look there are  couples. the ticket price is not too bad to get in. $12. each drink is about $8-$10. their nightlife cocktail is potent and delicious. i think its vodka, champagne, and cranberry juice. yummy. the first time i went there was a super long line. i think there was something going on. i forgot. the second time i went i was able to see the planetarium show. it was called "life a cosmic story" it was okay but it was all about plant cells and creating life. nice and all but i want to see planets and stars. i heard a few snores in there.  if you are going to see the show please make sure to sit up top so you can see the whole show. after the show we were instructed to go the roof and check out the two telescopes. i was able to see Jupiter and its moons. DOPE! -1 star because some employee was extra rude. i guess the rain forest was closed by the time we go there. she said  next time we should get in line befoe 7:30. i wonder if my "bitch" was audible for her to hear. better way of saying it "oh i am sorry. yes the rain forest line closes at 7:30pm. hopefully on your next visit  you will be able to enjoy it" i am sorry you hate your job. i am a total fan of aquariums so i spend most of my time down there.  they do have a lot offer. the jelly fish change color with the light. i wish they had sharks and more snakes but i get it, its a small aquarium and you pretty see what you see. overall i think this would be a pretty nice 4th date type of place.

Its really cool if you can get in!  The decor is so sexy and chic and they have a good drinks menu.  They also play a really fun mix of old/new and mainstream/not-so mainstream music, nothing too tacky or overplayed. I've never had trouble getting in but their door policy can be pretty strict and unpredictable.  One time, I was meeting some friends there.  I arrived with my boyfriend and we were let in right away (there was no one outside when we arrived).  When my two girlfriends arrived 30 minutes later, there was a small crowd outside and the door guy basically told them they weren't getting in for the night.  We ended up finishing our drinks and leaving to meet my friends elsewhere a short while later, at which point, there was again no one outside.  Kind of a bummer but I think its all about timing.

We were here on New Years Eve 2007 with a large group, including fellow rateclubser, Kristin S. She had reserved a table so I was luckily enough snag a place at it to. Their minimum for the table seemed more than fair for NYE (one bottle of liquor and one bottle champagne) and our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. She even threw us an extra bottle of bubbly at about 11:58pm for being such a nice group of people to be waiting on (as comparred to the table of dudes next to us that apparently asked for the cheapest bottle on the menu and then asked her NOT to serve any girls they that were luring over to their table. very klassy, guys). the music was pretty good. a nice mix of popular clubby songs and some more i'd never heard before, but we called it quits at about 1:15 when the DJ played the 4th michael jackson song in a row. sorry....you can't win 'em all. the decor is very loungey...low couches and tables, lots of mirrors (no doubt to make this basement space seem larger)....and the air is very COLD. the AC was pumping so hard that we didn't take our coats off for the first 30 minutes we were there. the crowd was definitely a younger crowd for the most part. a lot of early 20-somethings dressed in cheap Rave/Rainbow shop outfits. One girl was wearing shiny black dress that looked like a trash bag. Another was wearing a body-skimming body suit that left NOTHING to the imagination. Comprende? i'd return for a relaxing drink on a weeknight, but as for a friday or saturday "club night", i think i'm too old for it.
