It's a night of adventure! The building is amazing! You can experience it literally top to bottom; from the Living Roof down to the underwater sea creatures. Go beyond and explore space, in the brand new Planetarium. Play with the butterflies in the rain forest. Indulge at bars throughout and don't forget to have dinner in the moss room. Need I Say MORE!

As I am writing this, I am shrugging my shoulders. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't something I would go back to. Club Carnival is on the top floor, I know this because I think I climbed 4...5...10....flights of stairs to get there. You enter the lobby when you first get there. Coat check is on one side and revolving doors are on the other. Bathrooms are near the coat check. Fun house mirrors are every where else. Go through the revolving doors where the bouncer is, this is the entrance to club carnival. There will be a big scary clown entrance - that is the entrance to the club. There will be a big bar outside of that and some pool tables tucked away. The pool tables are $4 a game. If you are cheap...I mean smart, you can just catch the balls instead of letting them drop in. You can let the white ball go, because it always comes back out. The club itself has flashing lights, frosted glass, and couches to the side. The music was interesting - we went from 80s to hip hop to music that I have never heard before. Dancing was pretty much at your own risk. The jungle juice tub of alcohol was $85, five friends downed it within minutes. I am not sure because there was not a lot of alcohol or because they were beasts. The carnival games are obviously a rip-off. If you like playing games, then go for it. They had throw the ping pong ball into the fishbowl (good for beer pong champs), shoot water into the clown's mouth/pop the balloon, and a dunk tank. The guy in the dunk tank tried to rile me up by saying that women belonged in the kitchen - they're good, don't fall for it! If you are on the fence about whether are not you want to play, think about this: are you ever going to use that pillow that looks like a dollar bill?

With all due respect to the lovely Bonnie P., I have to say I enjoyed lunch here quite a bit. No, the food wasn't the best, but I ended up picking good food, better than my colleagues and thus I personally had a great experience. First off, the decor. This place was incredibly pretty to look at without being stiff. It really stands out, I think gorgeous would be a good term, in that sense of beauty. The hostess gave me a tour of the downstairs lounge/party space, Dour (I think that's what she called it, the name is on the outside) which I will definitely go back to. We were walking around checking the place out and I said, "I feel sexy here". That's the downstairs, hopefully I will get a chance to go there some night. Anywho, we sat in the front, lots of light, cute-ish bar in the front, and going toward the back there are a few more tables. Two sets of stairs, one gritty in the back, one purdy in the front with the entire left wall having rows of lights (we were wondering how they lit it). I actually thought the swivel white chairs were comfortable; they swiveled, which remember from my Botanica review, swivel means extra stars. Our server Patrick was very cordial and amiable; he had good timing. I tried a few things on the current menu; I had the curried popcorn shrimp caesar salad, which was awesome, not very curried but you really can't go wrong with fried shrimp over romaine with zesty cherry tomatoes. I had the steak frites and the steak was very juicy at medium rare, and the red wine sauce was pretty light. The wild arugula was really strong, and the fries were good, with minced garlic to really add some punch. I sampled the lamb meatball, it was pretty good but not necessarily my taste. The lamb sandwich basically looked like sloppy joe. I also tried the Amalia three bread dip thing; I don't even like olives but the olive spread was very tasty, and the whipped feta was sufficiently cheesy over the pita slice. To finish I had pineapple sorbet. All in all a very relaxed lunch setting, I dare say it was refreshing. The portions aren't egregious but still large enough, and again it's a very pretty place overall, lots of little touches that really add up.
