Hm. What should someone who is far, far away from the target market use to review a place? It's a club. It's too loud to meet people and talk unless you stand outside the bathrooms. The drinks (even straight) were moderate strength, but that could be explained by the open bar when we arrived. What rescued the venue for me (other than the company): Live music and live performance. I have no idea if these will be regular items, but non-dead entertainment is always a plus. The band was an interesting mash-up group. It's difficult to explain, but they were a good, energetic party band. On to the performance... A woman walked into the electronica (talk about dead music) area in a nicely out-of-place outfit. The fact that she didn't fit in already was a bonus. Then she started climbing a sash in the middle of the room. After a bit of setting up, she launched into a great aerial burlesque performance. Highly, highly unexpected. If you're going to be too loud to meet new people, the unexpected remains a way to attract a crowd. As does burlesque. If I were single, this club might be more interesting. Happily monogamous, I'll likely only return if a group of friends is going.

Came here for dinner with my gfs friday night and most of what I ordered was pretty good. I guess I enjoyed things a bit more than my gf because she said she had a headache from the light up menu. I came here armed with a certificate from http://www.restaurant.com..so it was very enjoyable on my end. The service was great...very attentive....our server came back to check on us...very often. But it wasn't overbearing so good job on that part....also I dunno if it was due to the fact that I was the first person in the dining room and ordered more than half their menu. We ordered everything on the small plates and the top 4 of the large plates. Beef tataki-these were my favorites...they were delicious. Tuna tartare-always a favorite of mine. Sliders- I would not order again...definitely not impressed. Shrimp tempura roll-definitely another nono. Vietnames chicken wings-I thought they were tasty...not so into the blue cheese thing that came with it tho. Cumin dusted frites-we ordered that as soon as we came in I was hungry....they were alright tho. Duck hash-absolutely tasty and very well executed...I would come back just for that. Spicy crab noodle-apparently I was the only person that enjoyed this dish as it was too spicy for my gfs. Mussels-good but I practically killed the noodles. Steak perfectly portioned and tasty. We also got to try the hazelnut brioche and some lemon thing....also yummy. Everything was nicely presented and most of it was good. It also helped that I had a yummy cocktail...dragon bellini. Overall good experience here....especially with the lovely company that I had.

Saw Talib Kweli over here and it was just nuts when "The Blast" came on. So much flavor over here, even Baskin Robbins would be jealous. Actually, if I had to pick a song that describes this place it would be "The blast". http://youtube.com/wat...
