I have never had a bad experience here, but also nothing too remember-able. The first time I came with a large group of friends and we stayed downstairs for a majority of the time. It was quiet enough to chat with each other yet you could hear just enough music from the upstairs so your conversations didn't carry over to everyone else. A friend ordered us a round of johnny vegas's and they tasted like anything but a johnny vegas. Since she is a bartender (at a different venue) she complained to the manager, he smelled the empty glass and agreed, so we got another round for free, and this time it actually tasted like a johnny vegas, YAY! Next we went upstairs to dance, and it was a lot of fun, except for a $5 cover charge in order to leave the first level, I would be much more pleased with the place if that was taken away, or just made minors pay it. If you are a single guy there is always a bunch of girls running around the place, but by witnessing my boyfriend try to help his single friends out, a lot are very stuck up or trashy.... which trashy I understand, but at woodys, stuck up.. ummm hello we're not at a 5 star club. I recommend going for a fun time if you go in not expecting to be blown away, prices are fair, music is good, rooftop is awesome in the summer, and they offer food at the end of the night for drunks. I will def keep returning until I run into some problem! I mean the bathrooms are nasty, but what else to you expect from bars filled with drunks?!?1

It was a complete surprise. I couldn't even find it when I drove by to find parking. It under this dirty looking bridge in an area that looks void of businesses. Once I walked in, I was impressed by the modern, chicness of the restaurant. It had cute tables, and abstract paintings on the wall. The food was great. My friends ordered the french toast. I was jealous because my breakfast burrito did not compare to their french toast in taste. The cannoli french toast was absolutely delicious! I am going to become a regular!

The Phoenix Landing doesn't look like much. Most of the time it's a modestly respectable Irish bar, with an OK menu and the usual suspects on draft. Three stars, most likely. But this review is about their Eighties Night, which always happens on Fridays. I've been to it four or five times (somehow, I never remember the details the next morning), and it hasn't disappointed me yet. Okay, the DJ was late this time. When we got there, it was a little slow. But the doorman gave us the nod and comped the cover, so in we go. I'm not a VIP but I play one on TV. I put on my battle gear before I come here... this time it was a shocking white suit and thin tie, way too much hair gel -(yes John P., tonight I AM that club sleaze...) come on, people, it's Eighties Night- do it right! We've pregamed across the street, so after a pint and some mingling the music starts, and three songs in we're on the floor, dancing gleefully like penguins hepped up on nitrous. For three more songs we're the only ones on the floor, and then I guess the drinks kick in, and it's on. We're on the floor into the wee hours- a bachelorette party comes through, somehow my tie turns into a feather boa for a while, I'm dancing with the Birthday Girl, I've lost count of how many drinks I've had, and the songs go on and on. Yeah, keep an eye on your drink, keep an eye on the sketchy guys on the floor that aren't dancing, keep a hand on your wallet, but don't let that stop you from having a great time with the rest of your body.
