by Dan N. on I used to go to J-town, but after I went to Pandora (per recommendation) I don't ever want to go anywhere else! two words: HEINEKEN ROOM! Ok well there's more than just that room, and it's more than just karaoke. They have a bar upfront with two very attentive bartenders. There's also a main lounge area where you can hang out too. If you haven't noticed certain rooms are sponsored by different drinks like Blue Moon, Ciroc, and even Crown (and yes from peeking through the window) Come to sing, come to drink, and come to eat! (I hear they're going to be serving food soon???). My goal is to have a karaoke night in each room...Yes even the hello kitty room.
by Yup S. on Now we all sip champagne when we're thirsty! I used to like this place more. But the more I go, the less I like it. Stay on the first floor. The underground floor is where the dance is at..but it feels like a damn heater in there. The ceiling is super low, and it appears to be a mad fire hazard down there. Unfortunately, restrooms are downstairs! Drinks or whatever. I don't know how to drink bubble...so I can't really say the drinks or the champagne selection and quality was primo. Uh, damn right I like the life I live Cause I went from negative to positive And it's all... ~Biggie

Avalon books first class DJs from around the world, people other clubs either can't afford or don't know about, but then packs the place full of people who could care less about the music. Grrrrrrrrr! What's the point of bringing in Derrick Carter, Danny Tenaglia, Ellen Allien, Switch, Booka Shade, and the rest if the people who go there don't give a shit about the DJ or the music?? Where do the promoters promote this place? I'm not trying to sound racist, but it's literally 85% rolling Asians. WTF? Even my Asian friends are freaked out by these rolling, swinging back and forth to every track, people. I just don't get it. Avalon seems like a techno heads dream club but turns out to be a nightmare every time.
