by Mike T. on The first time I walked by this place I didn't even notice it, as it is really nothing more than a hole-in-the wall place. When I finally got the chance to go here, I was initially unimpressed, but after sitting around for a while, Bob Bar kinda grew on me. Again though, one of Bob Bar's biggest problems is the fact that like most bars in the LES, its incredibly small, so getting a drink can sometimes be difficult. Again if you wanna check this place out, head over during the week to avoid the crowds and see what you think for yourself.
by Rosalee Seltzen on I love this place! It's much better than the big one, the decor is unique - makes you feel like you've stepped out of SF and into a funky, charming island-ish cafe. The food is yummy - a much needed change from the typical uber hipster haunts.
by Miel H. on Never a dull moment at this club. Of course you just gotta be selective of every event thats held here. Can't go about stomping around every night they throw something unless your taste of music is seriously that eclectic. Love, love love the house scene here and everyone that comes through to all the OM djs to Miguel Migs, rooz and the opulent crew. Always rippin it up and makin sure my feet hurt by the time im on my way home. The drinks are not excellent but they're not bad either. They do a good job of providing recession buster prices for drink specials so when i can catch those its all good. Whenever they have some hip-hop and funk, they make sure to bring in some siiick cats as well like apollo and shortkut. cant go wrong! one thing about the hip hop that gets played here is that it dont get all ghetto like club 6. I mean you can go enjoy the music and not expect the fuckin lights to come on and the place the shut down cuz some crew starts beefin wit another crew cuz one guy smack a girls ass who's man is from the other crew and in turn he actually remembers him from club 6 cuz he stepped on his Air Force 1's and didnt apologize (whew). so yea, its dope there. the bathroom situation is shyte tho. one stall, 2-3 urinals, and a bunch of drunk guys always trying to stare at your package. not sure who's gay or not but as long as no ones grabbing whatevers. so yea, i like going to this club!
