by Z. W. on If I go out clubbing at all- only at Cielo. Sigh. I fucking love it there. Coming from Europe I grew up on Electro and House. When I moved to NYC a couple of years ago I couldn't find one decent club that actually played good music. Crappy mainstream college music everywhere... and then I found Cielo. If you do want to come to Cielo, go on a Thursday. The world's best DJ's (Extrawelt, Loco Dice, Sven Väth, Theo Parrish, Trentemöller etc AAAhhh) play amazing sets. Club is small, which I like. Reading some reviews I saw that a lot of people seem to go there to find their future spouse or one night stand. COME ON. Try online dating. Cielo is a place where people come to only dance and enjoy the music. Also a tip for large groups, especially guys- best is to have an equal amount of women, stand in line in pairs or fours and pretend not to know the others. It works.
by Marylynn Empson on I've had to deal with UPS since 1988, but the driver that I currently have, Danny, seems determined to single-handedly ruin my business. I've had more problems than I can begin to tell you here. Today I worked all day to get a job ready for a client. Because she said she needed it right away, I stayed back, got the job ready to be shipped out, and intentionally didn't catch my flight out of town. Well, I guess I should have. I had no idea that UPS wasn't picking up today. I just looked and saw that my two packages are still sitting, waiting for the driver. When I called, I was told that the driver was supposed to have notified us that there would be no pick-ups today. Told us...yeah, right. Thanks, Danny. I lost a client, and you wrecked my New Year's Eve. Hope you have a really swell holiday...not!
