Who knew this place was in the Little Tokyo marketplace? It was a bit hard to locate at first -- searched indoors and then only realized that the entrance is located outside near the parking structure. Our group came here on a Friday night and it wasn't crowded at all, which is good I guess. Plenty of open space and lots of seating. They have an open bar too so there's a variety of different drinks to choose from. Plus, it was also happy hour! It's definitely a good place to go to after work and have a little downtime without the hassle of a large crowd.

This place is pretty scene-y. And I don't like to go to scene-y places. Nonetheless. We waited for about an hour on a Friday night and were seated at the chef's bar. This was really cool because you can see everything being made in the kitchen and all of the other food prep. I had the turkey burger (pretty good) and the sweet potato tots (still thinking about these, weeks later). The food was better than I expected; I figured it would be overhyped. Prices were reasonable. One thing I can't believe is every burger has the same bun, which seems like an opportunity missed to try different things complimentary to the burger. I'll eat here again when the hype has died down (if it does).

Boy was this place fantastic. I haven't had great sushi in a long time, but when I went home, my parents had made reservations for what they promised would be a spectacular meal. And it sure was! The atmosphere is great, the staff friendly and competent (and they all speak Japanese!) and the owner even comes over to chat and catch up, no matter if you're a first-timer or repeat customer. The sake choices are incredible. Usually, I prefer hot sake but they helped me find a taste that was right for me and I enjoyed a delicious and overflowing glass of cold sake that I never would have been able to choose alone. Overflowing why? For generosity, the owner insists. The house roles are incredible and each chef does his own special one. As delicious as they are, the fish is so fresh and perfectly picked, though, that you want to try some sashimi just to enjoy its flavorful purity. And don't forget to grab a handroll here or there, too. I had a great time, enjoyed spectacular food and will be back the next time I'm home in Atlanta. Oh, and what's with the review by the woman who thinks that unagi (eel) is supposed to be cold and complained that hers came warm? Please don't give a restaurant a bad review because you don't understand what you're ordering. If you want to know if something was supposed to be a certain way, ask! Unagi comes warm - at least when it's delicious and prepared properly.
