I have to start out saying I really love Whole Foods. I wish we could afford to shop there all the time. It's calming just to wander through their aisles. But recently I was in the bakery helping my daughter pick out a cupcake. And I overheard a conversation that annoyed me. A customer asked a bakery attendant what carob was. She asked if it was a chocolate replacement. The employee said "Oh no, it's corn starch, it's liquid corn starch" Then she assured her that white chocolate was just sugar, not chocolate. Another employee decided that carob was actually just a "filler." I was amazed that instead of finding out the answer, the employees just made stuff up right on the spot. Luckily I know what carob is so I won't have to ask and will continue to go back. But feel like the employees could use some training.

Daughter and I had a late lunch here today. Super friendly staff but mediocre sushi which took long to prepare. They weren't very busy and we only ordered sashimi and nigiri so I'm not sure why it took so long. We were treated to a mini tour of the club downstairs which was nice. Overall, glad to have finally checked it out.

I've been here for lunch (today), and I've been here for drinks and dinner (over the summer). Honestly, I'm not sure what the complaint is about the clientele, I've never had a problem, hopefully I'm not one of the people everyone's complaining about! Drinks and dinner, I probably would have given this place 4-5 stars. We hit happy hour, which was 2-9 on a Saturday. Hell yah. We had the patio almost all to ourselves besides 1 or 2 other tables, and everyone was smoking and drinking and having fun so we didn't disturb anyone. Come on people, you kicked us out of restaurants and bars, you cannot complain when we smoke in the open air patio. You get the inside, we get the outside. Dig? You really have the better deal, I promise. Anyways, 3 of us got good and drunk and fed on just over 50 bucks. This place is tops for Saturday afternoon/early evening drinking, especially because it's just about a mile walk home. Today we went back for lunch and were a little underwhelmed. The food was decent, but not as good as we remembered after a whole lotta happy hour. Wasn't bad, but I won't be begging anyone to go back with me again unless it's for happy hour drinkies. :)
