Don't be fooled by the appearance. There really is food being served in the bar section of this club. You'll have to cross the dance floor to get it but thankfully, it is not too hard to weave your way to the bar since there's no one boogieing during lunch time. As for the food, the tacos were delicious. While I wasn't a huge fan of the tortilla, the ingredients in the fat tacos were excellent. I personally loved the steak taco, although the shrimp taco was really good too; it just didn't feel as filling though. I also got an order of Yucca fries (first time ever trying Yucca) and this ended up being my favorite thing that I ordered. While I have never had Yucca fries before so i can't compare them to other places, what I did have was super delicious and that I can vouch for. They also served Horchatas (a cinnamon like drink that tastes like a churro in liquid form) and this tasted great, just like the ones I got when I went to Mexico. While still a new establishment, I am very pleased with what I've seen from this place so far. Next up for me to try is their burritos which is what I'm really looking forward to (I LOVE Burritos). But if today's meal is a sign of things to come, I may have just found myself a new lunch place to compete with the Los Compadres Taco Truck to get my Mexican food cravings satisfied.

I saw Laura Veirs here and it was fantastic. The venue is just right, it's small and very intimate. There's pitchers of water in case you get thirsty and, if you're looking for something stronger, good service behind the bar. Also, the people were very friendly and nice which is not true at most clubs.

Delux perhaps defined the entire summer I spent in Phoenix. I have only fond memories of this place. Hip: let's get this out of the way first. Yes, from the blue and black lights in funky round balls atop the bar to the center table with stools to the booths along the side, the interior oozes of cool. I am particularly picky about where I sit in restaurants, but I tried pretty much every seat in the house here and I will say they're all great for whatever matches your mood. The place is small inside, and there's sometimes waits during peak hours/weekends. The hours. This is what really made Delux...well, deluxe for me. It's open so late, and I loved coming here for a more mellow nightcap on weekends. The drink list is superb (essentially, the food consists of one page and the drinks are the other 7 pages of the menu) and I always found the bartender to prepare our drinks well and quickly. Now, the food. Burgers. Are. Delicious. They are basically your high class, uber-chic and swanky burgers with impeccable presentation. I was impressed. I must say I'm sold on not only the image but also the taste. The perfect ratio of protein-carb-toppings. I would highly suggest pretty much any of their burgers, but start with their Delux Burger. It's the staple. As for the sides, yes, the fries (sweet potato AND regular) are tasty and adorable, coming in this little shopping cart, which makes it perfect to share. They are, likewise, delicious. Also, they don't make you feel like you need to go run a marathon or your heart might give out on you, so that was always a huge incentive for me to indulge. Service has always been good here on the whole. Sometimes, naturally, during the busy times it can get a little slow and you can feel slightly neglected, but hopefully your company and/or the food will ease the pain. I miss Delux. A LOT. I am also dying to try their cupcakes, which weren't part of the menu when I was last there...
