by Roderick Alacano on Rating is for venue, alone. Last night, Synergy threw an event here at Yoshi's. It was awesome fun, and they couldn't have picked a better place. There was one main bar downstairs, one bar upstairs in the vip area, and one bar that they temporarily set up on one side of the building downstairs. There was an eating and lounging area, downstairs and upstairs. Their small dance floor was also expanded by the crowd to create a large dancing area. It got unbelievably crowded, but the Yoshi's handled it well. The bathrooms never had any lines, and it was easy to get a drink, for the most part. I'd love to come here for a concert and dinner, sometime. If Yoshi's is beautiful with drunk people pouring in and out, I'm sure it's a knockout when there aren't any of them.
by Floyd Wharton on Fun atmosphere and good food. The wait staff here have also always been really great. I especially like the lobster mac n cheese and the tuna tartare. Good drinks, too.
by Alison C. on I have heard mixed reviews about the food at STK Steakhouse, however it is a beautiful restaurant that is perfect for a classy night at a bar. The large and decadent atmosphere is a perfect fit for the Meatpacking District. The crowd really is pretentious, but it makes for a fun night out every once and a while. Beautiful people swarm around the long bar to enjoy a variety of cocktails and great wine menu. STK is all about the scene, but it's a scene worth checking out.
