by Richard L. on TL:DR - Waitresses and bar staff gave TERRIBLE service It seemed like a chill spot i suppose. I didn't get that feeling b/c the service was terrible. Everyone says the service was great. While it wasn't hard to get a table on a tuesday, getting the waitress to come by and take our order took forever. (forever being 45 minutes to get a menu) I looked around and noticed it's all korean (i'm not) suddenly a korean couple sat next to us and got instant service, drinks and even 2 waitresses serving them. Neither of which turned to even see if we wanted more to drink. Yeah maybe it was just a bad night...but this instant makes me NEVER WANT TO VISIT AGAIN.
by Rosenda Munks on Gather round all ye mateys! First and foremost, I need to find the proprietors of this place and give them a well deserved pat on the back. The concept is definitely different and makes for an interesting night out with co-workers or friends. Gathering a group of small old-assed boats and filling them with alcohol and drunken patrons doesn't always seem like a great idea at first. But hot-damn is it smart as Bobby Fisher! Novelty at best, in that the experience would probably wear off after the second or third time frequenting this place. But at first glance it's mesmerzing and entrancing almost. The scenery is what makes this place pop, seeing the Hudson River in all its glory as the sunsets, swaying with the waves as the boat settles in off the dock and consuming enough alcohol to make David Hasselhoff look like a boy scout, makes this place stand out. I've yet to try the food, but rumor has it it's delicious. The clientele is a an interesting mix, in that the slickest of Wall Street cronies and Marketing gurus converge on this place. Regardless, it's fun and interesting. Go for the view, stay for the drinks, leave before the frat boys get rowdy! Definitely a great place.
