it had an underground & basement like atmosphere. the house DJ for the night was Indicant (sp?). there's a full bar on the right & a DJ booth near the entrance corner. 3.5 rooms (sorta) to chill in & lounge sofas/chairs on the opposite side of the bar. the dance floor had just enough space to dance without bumping into much people so that's a plus. drinks were moderately priced at about $8 for cocktail/beer & $5 for a water bottle.  the venue itself looks pretty cool & my adv ticket price was for $12. the age range is late 20's to mid-30's.  i would definitely come back if i'm in the area.

First impression:  Wow. great space, great for a quick lunch and great location; can't wait to try dinner. Reality:  Darn it, I needed to wait a few more months to try it out for dinner. Sometimes a restaurant is over thought, and sometimes it is not thought through enough.  In this case, the latter is apparent.  I understand wanting to be innovative and trying to think outside the box, but there are two distinct operational aspects that need to be addressed.  However, there is one saving grace... the food. A)  Please don't over book your  restaurant.  You end up upsetting more people and causing them not to return than satisfying the right amount you can handle with great service and an amazing dining experience. B) the menu on the wall; great idea but bad outcome.  Poorly lit and no sides listed, suggests that the restaurant has been open for years with a menu that has never changed and has been memorized by every patron dining in the room. Last I checked you have only been open for about a month or two, and this is my first time here...  :) The server was not set-up for success from the beginning.  My heart went out to her as she scurried around.  Servers have to explain the sides of each dish to everyone at the table and sometimes multiple ones when a person is indecisive.  This causes them to neglect their other tables and spend way too much time educating rather than serving.  Yes, servers are there to educate but so are menus that you can read sitting right in front of you. :)  Plus, you can't hear them because the noise level is out of control. Our manager was very apologetic and made us feel better about poor dining experience.  He was aware of the kinks and took the time to greet our table, amend the problematic situations and invite us back again. He gets a big gold star, and won my return business Also, Kudos to Chef! Great menu with innovative flavors.  I enjoyed my Short Ribs, and Bibb Lettuce Salad. But maybe he needs to rethink serving the short ribs in the bowl...?  It was difficult to cut into the meat at that angle.  I did have fun entertaining my friends as I portrayed Oliver asking for "more please" as if it was an over sized bowl of porridge. Overall, I say "what the heck give it a try".  They are working the kinks out and have a great concept to offer to Atlanta diners.

DNA Lounge - God bless you but, I just can't force myself to fall in love the venue or the music. In general, I like the venue (medium-sized, two levels with upper level bird's-eye view of the main dancefloor and stage + a smaller room upstairs - and, most importantly, it doesn't have the dirty, "e"-infested feeling like 1015).  I'm just not feelin' the music.  *Sigh*. I am NOT a fan of mash-ups, I am NOT a fan of tribal/funky house and I'm not really into the other "alternative lifestyle" type of parties at DNA Lounge (different strokes for different folks, I ain't hatin').  The "hip-hop" at DNA Lounge is just really slow R&B and old school hip-hop - more lounge-y than danceable.  And I am way too old for the Asian parties that DNA Lounge sometimes hosts.  (Warning: If you are over the age of 23 and value maturity, your reputation and personal dignity, you'll probably want to avoid the Element parties at DNA Lounge.) Some pros: - DNA Lounge is one of the venues that closes after 2am (something like 4am) so, cool place to go if you're club-hopping past 2am. - The Remedy parties are pretty dope.  Good house DJs (KASKADE!!).  The breaks parties are also dope. - There is seating near the main dancefloor and upstairs in the smaller room.
