by Austin M on I live in the cultural shadows of Lincoln Center. Everything to do here but find a nightclub. Thast is, until I was walking by 71-72nd Streets and saw a very, very hot crowd outside anxiously waiting to go in. So, instead of settling for David letterman, I went inside and the experience was quite memorable. The women were dressed to kill. Indeed, it was real upscale. The guys were in real cool casual. The music was both Latin and creative club (that's how I best describe it)! Drink prices weren't there to burn a whole in my pocket. Severfal women asked me to dance and one bought me a drink. Bartenders - real hot -- real hot -- and the security was very friendly. I intend to e a weekend regular at Columbus 72.

They change up their DJ's so things dont get boring or repetitive. Its an easy choice. wanna go to the mega clubs with 5 floors and 8 rooms? Go ahead...Ill take the moderately sized spot, where the staff can give you their full attention, and not get tired of making everyone feel welcome. Me and my GF are making this our steady spot, for Fridays and Saturdays. And the best part? I dont have to pay $30-$50 just to get in.
by Jared jones on I went to Columbus 72 for their Friday after work party , I had heard a rumor that they were changing it up since the re-opening of Copacabana and i was pleasantly surprised with the changes. They extended the two for one drinks till 9pm. This was very convenient for me since I generally work later hours in the evenings and can still partake in this special. The buffet has more of an Italian style to it as they served a salad and 4 kinds of pasta. The music was a nice mix of both Spanish and American music. I am definitely going to make this one of my after work hang out.
