by Vanessa T. on I had the distinct and rare pleasure of watching the Presidential debate in battling rap form here. On this account alone, Bruno's scored highly. The live music, diverse crowd, and friendly girl at the door aren't too shabby, either. For some reason, the other half of the club was closed off so it was standing room only and pretty tight. But most people seemed supportive of the notion of hygiene.

I had fun dancing and hanging out with my girls, but usually when you bump into someone on a dance floor or start talking to someone in a club/bar, humor would be a good way to break the ice. But code here is to be serious, dance like you are an untouchable god, and never, ever smile. It's just not in my nature to dance and be serious at the same time. Kind of a pretentious palace. The vibe in this place is very LA or Las Vegas. Not really my crowd. But I did have fun dancing in the cave downstairs where they were spinning R&B. A little slow for my taste, give me more rap! I would have preferred to pass on the 2 other rooms that were both pushing techno the entire night. The go-go dancers are amusing though, looks like a fun job. I wonder where they got their rabbit fur wraps... So not being a club-connoisseur I am giving 3 stars because I can imagine a much worse club. But I can also imagine a better club (where people smile).
by Inna K. on While I don't love this place, it has an ability to make you completely forget about the outside world as soon as you walk through the door. The atmosphere is great, very loungy and sexy and the music is good. When I've been here for drinks and to hang out I've had a pretty good time - especially when it's not too crowded. Now food - different story! I came with a date on a weeknight (maybe Thursday) realively early. I want to say it was maybe 8:30 or so? Even though we had reservations and most of the tables were empty we were told we were going to have to wait, and the hostess wasn't exactly nice about it. We got a drink at the bar, and were taken to our table within 10 minutes or so by the same hostess who now seemed to be in a better mood. We had an entire section to ourselves, so I am not sure what the holdup was in the first place. I felt like we were being rushed to order - the waitness came over 3 times in a very short period of time. We got duck rolls as an appetizer - they were ok - not amazing, and I had the tuna main course which was pretty good, but again not amazing. I wouldn't recommend eating here as it was not the most pleasant experience, but its a fun place for a drink or two earlier in the night, before it gets crowded.
