by joel j. on Free to get in. That's always a plus. The dude at the door on friday and saturday nights isn't a dick (as a lot of bouncers are). Plus there's like 3 other bars next to it. It has a dance floor and it gets crowded so it's a little hard to move around. There's always a line for the super small bathroom so my friends and i usually end up pissing in the alley around the corner. It's not as diverse as i would prefer. I'd say it's probably about 80% white people, but not the super snobby kind. All and all it's a decent bar, but by no means is it excellent. Oh i forgot to mention that if you look over to the left of the dance floor, there's a raised pedestal for about 1 or 2 people to dance on over the crowd. Every time I go to vertigo, there's some Filipino dude dancing his heart away with his shirt unbuttoned. I don't know if they pay him to do this, or it's just his thing..... but he's always there! hahahaha
by Dudley Yazzi on First of all this place seems like a cool place but the works ruin it. The guy at the front door is some Russian guy out of a Rocky movie and is stuck up and will only let a group of guys who pocket him $20 bucks or hot girls who give him attention. This place is overrated and like other places on this spot they will be done in a few more months. The guy at the front door was willing to let a group of 21 walk away because he got full of himself. If you want to have a good time go to Cosmo/Lava a lot better place... People are nice and the place is better.
