Like A Funnel. Whoever constructed this place should really reconsider jobs. The place is made like a funnel where people get crammed up in between the VIP area and the bar. If you're trying to get to the dance floor on a busy day you are guaranteed to get squashed up. In addition, the bathroom gets crammed up too because it's right nearby. I'll say that this place is pretty chic, up and trendy. The ambiance and music is pretty good. But the downside is that the lines get super long, the place gets packed to the point its disappointing and the fun goes out the door. Anyways, it's still an enjoyable place; but I've had better.

Conceptually, it's fabulous! Seeing it in person was a shocking disappointment. The crowd was annoying and it is a lot smaller than what I have imagined. I agree with Caroline that the layout is terrible [and tacky]. We went for a private event, so I can't speak about the music, but my friend and I could not wait to leave. Greenhouse hired a great photographer for PR and I like the idea behind a "green" nightclub. They tried to do too much in a small space and failed miserably in execution.

Very pretty club. Very convenient location if you live in the North Beach/Nob Hill/Russian Hill area. I saw The National here a few months ago, and that show rocked my socks off. Also, the ratio of men to women was amazing (go ladies!). I'm not sure if that's because of the band or the venue. The bathroom attendant was a sweetheart. Two complaints: first, you can't get a drink for your friend, even if it takes you 10 minutes to get through the crowd of people near the stage. Every person has to show the bartender his or her hand stamp. I understand, but it's kind of inconvenient. Secondly, they need to open more doors once the show is over. It basically becomes a mass of people trying to get out one door. Otherwise, Bimbo's is awesome!
