by sarah d. on Came here for dinner with my cousin from Toronto. We ate on the terrace because I wanted him to get a good view of the city while we ate. We got here around 7:30 on Friday night and were seated right away. First, by a not so good spot, then when a better spot opened up, under the tent, I asked to be moved and they were great about it! Didn't make me feel fussy or anything. Service is a 4.5 stars, because everyone is sooooooooooo nice, but they didn't come by as often to check on us in the beginning. Food is surprisingly really good for a place with a view (usually you get one or the other; great food or great view, not both). Well, in this case we got a little bit of both. Clear view of the city skyline and really good food. 5 Stars. The ambiance is what sold me! 6 stars! I love this space, the noise, the people, the outside air, the lights, and the heating lamps for allowing me to take it all (almost all) off in the middle of the night on a San Francisco rooftop! Unheard of! Will definitely bring visiting relatives and friends from outta town here for dinner and late night get togethers! OMG!!! I'm so happy I came here (also recommended by Check Please! so I had to try it)
by Michael Z. on After being a frequent club goer and have been going to good Hollywood clubs all the time, I ask myself what do I look for in a club. I'll tell you there are a few amazing things about this club, one the D.J.'s the venue's look, décor, and always evolving, and lastly its one of the only clubs where you can arrive with 5 guys at the VIP entrance and so long as you arrived early and are on a guest list you are going to get in. That's because the club packs 3000 people. I'll tell you one mistake NOT to make, do not leave your credit card with the bartender unless you're willing to pay gratuity, always use cash. There is an ATM in the club and even after the fee you're still saving money. This goes with any Hollywood Club. I run a VIP Guest there on the Hollywood Blvd every Saturday there. I also promote a lot of other Hollywood clubs. If you wanna place with a good vibe and it's open until 4 a.m. Email me at m_zdar@hotmail.comMy guests will have full access to the entire Vanguard nightclub, including the cabana-lined smoking patio and the gigantic main room Recent talent includes, DJ Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Deep Dish, Sasha & Digweed to name a few. It's a hot club I would check it out. Pros: Great D.J.'s, large crowd, less strict door, open till 4, and great look / sound. Cons: Expensive Nearby parking and Bar gratuity.
by Larry Crookes on I love Fluid I love Fluid I love Fluid! I go once a month for Sex Dwarf (the new wave dance party) which is ALWAYS amazing. The staff is insanely nice, the service is fast, and the dance floor is sweatily awesome. My only criticism at all is that they should really do something about the bathrooms. Theres not really enough, and the past few times I've been there something was wrong with at least 2 stalls (including the door falling off as one person was exiting). If you're the least bit pee shy, you might just wanna walk on down to starbucks when you get the urge.
