I have been going to Player's every Wednesday night of the fall and spring semesters since Fall 2007, and it has yet to disappoint. It routinely delivers greasy food, beer, and delicious milkshakes. I recommend everything on the menu, but particularly the grilled chicken sandwich which they deliver a wheat bun 3/4s the size of the chicken. My other favorites include the "onion rangs" and the grilled chicken salad. Okay, and the strawberry milkshakes. Damnit, Player's has it all! We always sit outside in the Bier Garten and the green lights are a nice complement. Nice big TV inside, and they'll usually turn the sound up if you ask nicely. They're open realllly late, too.
by Kyla Baio on In terms of a live music venue, I can't really say anything bad about this place. The sound system is steller, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the crowd is manageable. Having the second "mezzanine" level is nice, and makes a crowded show a lot more bearable...
by Emiko M. on WAY too crowded in there. First time I went, I could barely move in the downstairs room. The layout of the club is awkward, music is alright. Not sure why I heard such great things about it before coming here.
