by Stephen T. on I've been watching this place as it went under construction through the month of Sept, waiting daily for the "grand opening" sign to go out. Honestly I was a little suspicious. The last outfit in this location was also a sushi place called Yu, which lasted not very long at all, so I wondered: "What can they possibly do differently?" Seems that they can do a LOT differently than the previous tenants. 1) Mood - The mood here is much different. For one - on Friday and Saturday nights they have late night service until 1:30AM (AWESOME!). Also - they seem to be focusing on bringing in a bit more bar crowd by adding lighting/tables outside the venue and cranking up the bar music - also awesome! This is going to be what's needed to keep the place alive. 2) Food - OK - the food is much superior. We went last night and tried a couple of different rolls. Fahrenheit Roll - Delicious! The rice is a little wetter than other places, which I actually love, and the rolls are big and fat. Highly recommend this one. The Skydiver - try it! Delicious. Big and chunky with delicious spicy mayo across the top. The edamame was ehh - I prefer Kenichi's spicy edamame really. Also - dessert wasn't on the menu but they had some options. I ordered the coconut creme brulee which was no bueno. It was more like coconut flan, but I couldn't really taste the coconut. Not recommended. Overall - delicious food. Go for all day happy hour on Sunday!
by Jackson Burdex on One star, now really? Here is why. We arrived here around 11pm and then we saw a line about half a block long, so my first reaction was, what the fuck? The line started to move quickly and I was like oh this isn't so bad we'll get in soon. We get within 20 feet of the door and the line does not move for probably 75 minutes. WE ended up getting inside around 12:30, no joke it was fucking ridiculous. Inside is very nice and upscale looking, high ceilings, comfy red couches everywhere and very well dressed/unattractive inebriated people walking around. The crowd was fairly diverse. What sucks is that the fucking drinks were pricey as shit. A fucking redbull and vodka costs $12, yeah 12 dollars for a fucking redbull/vodka. I hope they threw drugs in that shit because that is not worth it. I mean it's not a terrible price but I certainly would not buy it (and I didn't have to hahaha) The worse thing about this place is the dance floor. The dance floor is located downstairs from the main floor and it looks like a wine cellar. There is a clearance of about 7 feet, so if you're tall, then too fucking bad for you. The dance area has as much ventilation as an elevator packed with 98 people, its not very good, in fact it sucks elephant dick. Fuck this place. The DJ was decent, he did fuck up a little bit but for the most part he was ok, I question the song selection a bit but its not bad. Overall, I would say that this place sucks a lot of dicks and that the dicks ejaculated all over the walls. I would never wait an hour and a half for a club that overcharges on drinks, has a shitty dance floor, and a bunch of ugly well dressed pretentious looking assholes. NOT coming back.
by Jennifer F. on It's a club made from concrete designed by some Mexican architect with a French name. It has a fancy facade with all the pretty lights but inside I am not so sure. Has a large dance floor with dancers shaking to house/ trance music. Upstairs in the "fire" room I swear this room is so hot, do they not have A/C? Anyways this is the Latin/salsa room. Ooooh I loved moving my hips in this room! haha. Don't come here expecting eyptian women, its a club filled with older creepy men looking for beautiful young girls. Ladies don't lose sight of your girlfriends! Ordered a &^%$#!$ at the bar downstairs and became intoxicated & loopy. (imagine that!!) Boy they sure know how to make them strong.
