Capped off the afternoon with a stop over here after Momofuku Milk bar...  The whole idea of turning a piece of crap into a fully functioning bar is pretty awesome. (Kittie C hit it on the money with her review) Even though you could feel yourself floating, it's nothing that would warrant getting seasick, even for someone with weak legs like myself! The most insane thing was that while in the middle of our drinks, a bat landed and clung onto my shorts. (this was YESTERDAY!)  I kind of freaked out because I thought it was one of the other patron's cute dogs, but I looked down to see that it was indeed a bat (hit it off of my shorts, thought I killed it, but then it just flew away.)  Other than that, an enjoyable experience! LOL

This place used to be very exclusive..  It's still pretty hard to get into if your not over 5'6 and/or a model or celebrity..   I usually go on Tuesday nights- the music and atmosphere is unbeatable!  The last time I went Jermaine Dupri was throwing his b-day bash- Janet and NeYo were there, Busta freestyled, and Jaslyn from America's Next Top model was dancing on the table next to me.. I tried going on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday and ended up leaving because it was overly crowded with a ton of underage girls !  Although when I went on Saturday I did spot Joba Chamberlain :) Drinks are expensive, but it's NY! Luckily every time I've gone my friends have gotten a table... The bouncers are really nice too! Overall pretty crowd, always packed=little room to dance, but definitely a place to check out!!

Ok - it's officially this place is a well kept secret.  I heard through the grapevine that it had reopened and I'd never been.  I read all about it and decided it was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday.  I invited everyone out and hoped that it would be fun - and it far surpassed my expectations.  It's a little hidden - but if you just walk west to the end of 26th Street and keep walking to the water - you'll run right into it.  It's a huge old resalvaged ship that is docked at Chelsea Piers 66. Surrounded by boats you slowly realize you are slightly rocking - but not enough to make anyone seasick!  I didn't eat here - but immediately wished I had when I first walked onto the boat and spied a gigantic grill where people were getting burgers, fries & seafood.  It looked so good.  Past this was a huge 4 sided bar with no lines.  And on the sides of the boat and in any space there were tables & chairs everywhere!  The boat was pretty happening at about 10pm on a Saturday when we went.  There is an amazing sky deck with tables and chairs overlooking the water and dock.  Great view.  And at the end of the boat there is a picturesque window paned backdrop with a raised platform where a dj was spinning really fun music.  In front of him - a huge dance floor where people were getting down.  There weren't any open tables that could seat as many people as we had - so we spied an empty area with tables & chairs stacked up and we made our own seating area.  It worked out so well.  The only downside was that the plumbing is not the best on this boat.  The only bathrooms are downstairs and there was only one working ladies toilet at the time. But the breeze was amazing after a 95 degrees day!  It was just fantastic and I will be going back several times this summer!  They are open from noon to midnight/1am every day.
