This place was kind of surprising! I had read all the reviews and decided to take a chance. So we came here with a small group last Saturday night to celebrate my bf's birthday. I wasn't sure what to expect but it turned out to be a great night! The location isn't glamorous but I kind of prefer it that way (so you know only the real fans will make the trek out here)! I'm always looking for chill spots that play underground hip hop. Although it wasn't "underground" it was definitely NOT mainstream! KUDOS for that! The back room got packed so we got a table. But it was definitely the more happening room. The vibe was really chill with a good ratio of guys to girls. The bottle service was good & we even got a complimentary bottle of champagne! =) I would definitely make the trek back out there. If you're thinking of going somewhere, you should check this place out at least once!

This place is pretty good...it's also lasted for awhile...my friends and i got there around 12 am so we had to pay $20 each...we were told to go in a different entrance which i can only assume gets us in faster... Drinks are good...not too strong and felt weird going down...tho i waited a long time to get my drink at a virtually empty bar...the music is good and there's a patio outside where people smoke and cool off...inside the club it is hot! gogo dancers are hot...club has 2 stories bathrooms have attendants with various beauty products but i LOVE that they have fun size chocolate!!! XD good place to club...not to "hollywood" so u don't have to worry about gettin rejected for being ugly or n e thing... parking is $5 in the parking garage they have those clubbing dogs on sale outside tho it no longer has bacon! =[ which makes all the difference...my friend was able to bargain and got 3/$11

Wendy's had the catch phrase, "Where's the beef?" Flip begs the question, "Where's the flame?" Driving up on Howell Mill was a battle as always, but it seemed to be even more so today for lunch with the newly opened Flip Burger Boutique. Packed parking lot, and long lines are no stranger to a newly opened place, especially since it's tied to celebrity chef Richard Blais. As we waited in line however, a nice hostess gave us menus to look. Immediately a few of the items stood out as contenders for my stomach... The po boyger (shrimp po-boy burger), vodka battered onion rings, and a pistachio shake. I still wanted to know what the burger of the day was of course, and to see if anything else would sound more appetizing when we would finally sit down. Fortunately for us, we were seated at the "burger bar", a small section of the otherwise "LA trendy-esque" looking space. We had a front row show to the kitchen, and watching Blais run around like a mad man was reality tv enough for me to enjoy my vantage point. However, looking at the kitchen begged the question, "where's the grill?" For a burger only spot, it would seem like it would be nice to have a grill. Nothing in sight. Just a flat top, no  flame... Hrm. Immediately our server came up and took some drink orders. I ordered the pistachio shake as planned. After another minute, he came back to take our food order... "What is the burger of the day?" I asked... "Tuna Tartar Burger" was the answer... Wasn't that the burger of yesterday? Hrm... I know my friend Sean ordered it... Anyway, guess that made my final vote for the po boyger solid. As we waited for the food to come out, we were just floored by how busy the place was. Everyone was running around like crazy, and tickets seemed to be getting confused by the minute. That in fact seemed to happen to me. As Mickey received his burger, then sweet potato tots, I was left with a water, feeling kinda like a starving actress sitting in a trendy LA joint. Great... As Mickey was finishing his meal, I finally received my first item, a pistachio shake. As I looked at the top of it, I saw liquid nitrogen dancing around the top layer... How novel. Stirring it around and then taking the first taste, I was happy that it wasn't abundantly sweet. Nice and mellow. Ten minutes or so later, my burger and rings arrived. Having tasted Mickey's sweet potato tots, 10 minutes prior, which were overly greasy and fibery (undercooked), I wasn't expecting much from my rings... They tasted a little lighter, but still greasy nonetheless. Boo... The po boyger on the other hand was nice... It was a patty made of ground up shrimp, old bay mayo, and a fried lemon slice... The lemon slice made that burger worth it. The shrimp was fine, but the nice tart flavor to offset everything else was a welcome addition. Overall the experience was chaotic and fun. I got to shake Blais' hand while I waited my 30 minutes for my flame-less po boyger. I know the chaos will die down, but the lack of flame may never be fixed. I will have to go back to give it another go, but for $25+ for lunch, it's a little hard to justify.
