Rude staff! Totally unorganized! I had a table reservation for 15 people for a birthday party. We arrived outside the club at 11:15pm, gave them my name and they said that the girl who does the promoting n table reservations had misspelled my name by one letter and they needed to find her to verify that I was in-fact the person that the table was for. LMFAO!! I have a very unique last name and it really didnt make a difference that it was one letter off! give me a break! So it took 45 minutes for them to finally decided to let me and my group in even though they still couldnt find the promoter to confirm. When I got seated, they put me at a table that barley could even fit 5 people... and I had 15!!! Then, no waitress comes and another 30 mins goes by. I left the table to find a waitress because it was now 12:30 and the club was gonna close soon. I have a very high minimum to have to spend, but still couldnt even order one damn drink. Just when i thought it couldnt get any worse, a waitress finally comes and starts setting up ice, cups and a bottle. I asked her who had order that bottle because it wasnt what my group wanted. She said some guy did and then said that this wasnt our table and we needed to leave that area immediately because it belonged to the guy that order the bottle she was setting up. I explained to her it was our table and then I had to go find the promoter again to clear it up..... The promoter comes and says oh, welll I guess we can move your party to another table... So the one she gives me is way in the back corner behind a bunch of speakers and equipment, I couldnt even see the rest of the club. Then my group sits at the new table, and what do you know..... Stilll no waitress comes. Im looking at my watch trying to figure out how I am supposed to spend the hundreds of dollars that is my minimum when i cant get any service and the club closes in 45 mins! My entire b-day party decided the hell with it and we alllll left! from 11:15pm to 1:15am I couldnt get a single minute of service at this place. And the DJ sucked!!!!!!!!! he couldnt play a beat for more than 15 seconds. As soon as you started to feel the groove a tiny bit or dance to something he would change it to some other crappy song. I understand what type of music "mash-up" mixes are, but this was more like "train-wrecks"!!!! I willlll never go back! The only reason i gave it 2 stars instead of one is because the club space/building itself was cool. It was supposedly "re-designed" by so miami club designer, but the funny thing is it loooks exactly the same as it always did when it used to be the Roxy.

ATMOSPHERE: It was a Sunday night (after xmas) and it was crowded around 9pm! Drag queens performing downstairs (near main entrance). Really turned into a dance party after the drag queens. Have your dollar bills ready for the show! Lots of hot guys. Some of my straight friends went and had a good time. MUSIC: Awesome dance music - very upbeat including remixes, techno. PRICES: No cover! Drinks pretty cheap - my pear vodka on the rocks was $6. CONCLUSION: What a fun place! Good drinks and fun crowd. Plus, girls don't have to worry about being hit on!

You know this is one of those places when I walk in no matter what it reminds me of a hut-bar any where in a major slum city in Africa (trust me I was born there) where the homes are built from mud and the furniture is sparse but the crowd is absolutely divine. Every time I have gone here since it's first opening I have had a great time leaving with enough laughter and liquor in my belly. The ginger and vodka w/ cran is of course my standard at Little Baobab. I remember one night meeting 2 guys from Morocco (one of whom I will call Mr Touchy) and here we are chatting it up about our families , life back home in the mother land , about the fact that Mr Touchy  has  a girlfriend ...blah blah blah blah... (like I give a hoot...while of course am giving goo goo GA GA eyes) and having drinks which led to last call and we ended up sharing a cab home. Of course with anyone a bit inebriated the sexes can get confused (Oh please...another excuse) and of course next thing you know dude is rubbing my legs and am like "YO ... u got a girlfriend what's up with that?... not that I mind... (should have been minding my own business and could have been invited up for a night cap or it could have turned into a knee cap considering the job to be done). ... so anyways weeks go by and Bambi is at the O'Farrell and Mason Garage getting the rental and who do I spot Mr Touchy and his dude date (holding hands) ... so much for his Gf and so much for my weak ass Gay  radar... well u win some and you lose some... But for sure good times will be had at Little Baobab alone or with friends.
