Okay, this was a 2-3 star experience.  The venue itself has really sweet decor, it has a classy feel to it.  But that vibe didn't match the music, which on the Friday I went was 90s rap!   I happen to LOVE 90s rap so I was feelin myself but I can see that not really being everyone's scene. It was easy to get drinks, the place never got too crowded, and of course it had good vibes.  Not my favorite club, but it's near this other wild place Sutra that was SUPERcrowded but also legit. I'd say it's worth checking this place out but I might not count on it to be the destination for a whole night.

I had an awesome time at Hiro. The people were far more attractive than any ordinary Asian social setting. The girls were better looking than the guys though on average. You will not be disappointed in any case. However, if you're not Asian or have yellow fever, you will probably feel out of place. There were seriously like 3 non-Asian people in the room. You definitely need girls to get in this place, or bottle service, like everyone said below. It was open bar for vodka drinks for the girls so I don't know what the prices are like. Maybe expensive? But then again you'll probably just hide a flask in your leather jacket anyway. The music was mostly hip hop which I loved and you can dance with your friends without some drunken guy humping you like there would be in Park. There was an upstairs that you can go to if you're tired of the crowd and want a break and/or make out. It got kinda messy and the floor got wet with spilt alcohol around 2AM. The crowd quality went down from there, so you should leave and go somewhere else.

entrance:  nice door guy. bar:  ordered two gin and tonics.  asked for sapphire, specifically.  saw them being poured from a sapphire bottle.  got to a couch.  tasted the drinks.  it was tanqueray.  come on, now.  at least they were cheap and strong, but they're really not fooling anyone. lighting:  everything was red and green.  i like red, but when all the bands are lit up by an unchanging green light throughout the night, it made me feel queasy. sound:  muddy, due to the system.  the guy playing music between bands was also the sound guy, i think.  he was playing a lot of good stuff.  this might have been the saving grace of europa. bands:  aside from the band we were there to see, one opener was so awful i was embarrassed for them, and one was fun ...fronted by a kind of 21st century tina turner.  a 50/50 opening band ratio is pretty good, so you have to give credit where credit is due. i'd return, but only if the band i wanted to see wasn't playing anywhere else.
