Enjoy music? Looking for an intimate setting for a music venue? Want to relax in a chair and eat some good sushi at the same time? Are you sure? **head nodding** Are you sure? **head nodding more vigorously** It's definitely a great place to see a jazz performance.  Shawn Colvin was performing that evening.  Great show!  If you order food you can't get the full sushi menu at the music venue, but what's available is still good.  Service was friendly and on point.  There is a drink minimum BTW.

Looking for a decent bowling alley with a good vibe, options for things other than bowling, and clean as far as a bowling alley is concerned...Lucky Strike was actually a good find.  We're so used to going to Bowlmore in Union Square, but I think that's almost practically a good number of other people that Bowlmor has just gotten really crowded. Not sure how long Lucky Strike has been open, but it definitely wasn't crowded like Bowlmor, and I guess even if it had the same capacity, Lucky Strike seems bigger with its bowling area, pool tables, and separated lounge.  I guess they are trying to achieve some kind of club feel for the entire place or maybe just for the lounge because I thought it was weird that there was a dress code.  And that they really enforced it. It was annoying to have to go back to the main table to start a new game (you have to pay before you play) and in comparison with Bowlmor, bowling prices is a bit more (but maybe like around $2 or something like that).   The menu was decent, though I wish they had fried calamari, and our waitress was kind of slow...despite the not so crowded venue at the time.  I wondered if she was new to the service industry.  She was nice though. Most of my friends walked from Time Square, but hey, it's right across the street from the Cross Town 42nd street bus line.  That's definitely the way to go all the way to 12th avenue. The bowling balls are clean and there are choices of many different weights, not like other bowling places where you have like 5 12lbers in one area.  I would definitely go back...on a pay day ;-) For a 2 game average, some bar food and a couple of drinks, you are definitely going into the $40 ish range.

Can't comment on the club, but the food here is quite good. And plentiful.  If you play your cards here right, you can score an AMAZING meal, for not a lot of bread... We took lu b.'s advice and got the pri fixe coupon at http://8coupons.com.  Then I booked our reservation at http://opentable.comwhich gave me 1000 points (=$10), and we were eating during happy hour, so all their specialty drinks were almost half off. The food and service were great.  We had THREE big appetizers, two large entrees, an order of naan, two desserts and five drinks.  Our bill came to about $100.  And the food here really is good.  It's definitely Indian fare, but there's a lot of stuff that defies categorization.  The pecan covered shrimps in... spicy vinegar? come to mind, and they were DEE-licious. The only difficulty was that our server seemed to be the only person in the restaurant who didn't have a decent grasp on the English language.  In no way a deal-breaker, it was actually kind of charming, as he really did take good care of us.  I would definitely recommend Earth NYC to anyone who digs inventive Indian cuisine, and if you can hook up the discounts,  it'll be hard to eat this well for this price at any relatively upscale joint in Manhattan.  Go there!
