Went out on a Saturday night. The atomsphere was very casual and comfortable, staff very friendly and accomadating. The appetizers looked yummy- but the steak, sub-par. I've honestly had better steaks at Applebees. I'm a steak lover and have perused steak houses all over the country from Peter Lugars, Palms (NY & Vegas), Emerils, Ruth Chris, Wolfgang and chain resturants including Outback, Longhorn and Lone Star. Considering I had to shell out $28 for a NY Strip I was excited that I was going to get a quality piece of meat. No such luck. It was overcooked when I asked for it medium rare, but hey even over cooked a good steak is a good steak so I went ate it and it seriously tasted like a low quality steak I buy at my supermarket for 4.99 lb. A strip should be smooth in your palate and a little sweet. It was mealy and chewy. Shame on you for charging $28 for that. I would have enjoyed the steak at the diner better. No excuses for a steak house that boasts quality meat. I may go back and try the ribs- they looked good- but will never get the steak there again.
