by Michael B. on Love this place. Some friends and I go here for trivia. This place has one of the most laid back atmospheres around, and is great for kicking back with friends and having a few beers. The fish and chips here are quite good, and they have Guinness on tap. What more can you ask for?
by Nicky Fontane on As we walked to our VIP table, walking past the swanky decor totally brought back memories of the club "Room 18" from Taipei, Taiwan. It's similarly decorated, but only about 4x smaller and you seriously have to get dressed up here. I didn't experience any of the rudeness of the hostess or bouncers that many people mention here. In fact, they were pretty nice when they brought us in. Given that it was 11pm on a Friday night and there was little to no line outside. I would have given this place 4 stars if it wasn't for the fact that there were at least 3-4 guys who were oggling at my girlfriend. One hit on her while I was in the bathroom for no more than 3 minutes and wouldn't leave her alone, and the other one hit on her while I was sitting right in front of her! Every guy at the club looked as if they were trying really hard to get laid. I know a club can only go as far as to control what type of people they attract, and it's impossible to weed out the sleazes. But I've never had to deal with so many douches in a 2 hour time span. How can you enjoy a club when you have to consistently deal with guys who hit on your sweet heart?
by Mikee L. on One of my favorite galleries for emerging artists and those on the urban fringe. But to get the full experience, you must check out Qool on Wednesday afternoons/evenings. That's right, it's a happy hour party! Qool has been around for ages, although the diversity of the crowd has changed quite a bit. Seems like ever since they got the license to carry hard liquor along with the beer and expanded to add a huge second bar, more folks have shown up to cradle cocktails while standing fabulously. It's kind of funny to me, because in stark contrast a few feet away, people are packing it in and blowing the roof off the other room like they've been doing for years. Yes, it can get pretty hot in there, but it was much worse before . . . much worse. And still no one cared.
