when you come to this joint you can literally say "i'm on a boat!" the frying pan is a pretty fun spot to check out.  how many times can you say you got to eat and drink on a huge pirate ship looking thing?  probably not too many. sitting on pier 66, you get a view of jersey while sitting on the westside of the city.  with plenty of seating, you'll see groups big and small all around for sure. the place seems a bit unorganized, its run by one main bar where you get your drinks and order your food.  you can pick up your food at a different station, but ordering your food and drink can be a bit hectic.  there arent really any waiters so you gotta' fend for yourself when ordering what you want.  it kinda' stinks cause the prices are pretty high especially for what they have to offer.  food is mediocre at prices i'm not too fond of paying, if the food was better id be fine with it.  and they have a bucket six pack of corona for 35 bucks.  oh mylanta are you serious?  that was a bit of a bummer. overall, you're definitely paying more for the experience then the food and drink your getting.  its fun to be in this kinda' atmosphere where you can sit on a still boat, enjoy the weather and have a good time with friends.  its definitely an experience worth checking out, just beware of the high prices...that part sucks.

A lot of people don't like Webster Hall too much. It's true that the bouncers suck, drinks are expensive, and the crowd is usually less than stellar. However, it's a good place to see a show. I think the sound system is pretty damn good, especially for electronic music. I've only been to the Friday club night ("Girls & Boys") and they usually draw pretty good dance acts from England, France, Germany, etc. They have a $1 RSVP on the website that will get you in early for a buck with $1 vodka well drinks before midnight. It's a good deal, but this place doesn't really get going until around 1AM. I really like the various rooms here. The main ballroom is gorgeous and has a lot of history. The street level room is nice to have (on Friday nights, it keeps some of the jerks out of the main ballroom), and the bottom level (The Studio) feels like its own small rock club.
