4 stars for the restaurant 4 stars for the nightclub 1 star for bottle service because IT SUCKS! As my friends and I planned to come here for the Synergy party Saturday night, we decided to eat here as well.  I made reservations through http://opentable.comfor 3 at 8:15pm.  We got here a couple minutes after 8:15pm and waited about 10 minutes while two other parties in front of us were seated. FOOD: *Garlic Soy Edamame ($4) - Yum!  The edamame was heated and tossed with cooked garlic and soy sauce which was very flavorful. *Tenpura Lobster Blossoms ($13 for 4 pieces) - I think I've died and gone to heaven.  Shreds of lobster, shrimp, scallops and shitake mushrooms placed in a seaweed and deep fried tempura style were blossoms of deliciousness!   It was accompanied by a soy-tempura like dipping sauce.  It was so good, I seriously contemplated on ordering a second order.  A highly recommended appetizer! *Kobe Beef Sushi ($13 for 5 pieces) - Note: even though it says "sushi", it is not wrapped in rice as we thought it was going to be.  The bottom was a piece of eggplant, the middle was spinach, and it was topped off with a piece of tri-tip.  No big thing after trying the lobster blossoms. *Miso Braised Short Ribs ($24) - The first couple of bites were delicious and tender, however, after that the meat started getting dry and chewy. *Sushi - Overpriced and nothing special about it. -California Rolls ($7) -Spider Roll ($14) *Additional food my friends ordered which I tried: -Grass Fed Black Angus Rib Eye ($27) - The rib eye was okay, not as much seasoning and flavor like I expected. -Kurobuta Pork Belly ($15) - YUM!  The pork belly was tender and flavorful and accompanied by a seaweed puree. SERVICE: Good, our waitress was really nice.  However, it seemed like our waitress had a large area and we ended up asking the guys bringing the food for my missing set of chopsticks and for my friend's missing napkin. AMBIANCE: Yoshi's is a beautiful place decorated with jazz pictures along the walls.  They also had a live jazz band and singer who walked around and sung and interacted with the crowd.  However, we were seated right next to the band, so conversation was difficult. ************************************************** ************************* NIGHTCLUB Crowd:  It was a Synergy party, therefore it is a mostly Asian crowd.  I've been to Yoshi's twice for Synergy parties and both times it has been PACKED. Music:  Hip-hop and top 40s Bottle Service:  SERVICE SUCKS!!!!  We were seated at one of the tables on the dance floor and our host said she'll send a table service host over.  About 10 minutes later, the table service hostess walked over to our table with the "RESERVED" sign and rudely asked if we had table service.  Uhh...I can clearly read the "reserved" sign.  After bringing out bottle and a couple of shots, she was usually nowhere to be found or even walked over to check if we were okay.  Around 12:45am, we were ready to close out our tab but was not able to close it out until 1:45am (when the lights came on and the music went off) because we couldn't find our rude hostess.  Why the eff are we paying you 20% gratuity when you clearly don't deserve it?! Food:  Yes, food is served at during the nightclub.  $5 CA rolls (opposed to the $7 we paid at dinner) and chicken wings are a few things on the menu.

Hurray for Taco Tuesdays! I Rateclubed "Tuesday Happy Hours" and found The Triple Crown. I've heard a little about it, but I like new places and wanted to check it out for a Fat Tuesday Happy Hour with my girls Rebecca and Rosy. They had $3 Tecate, $5 Corralejo shots - but you could order them as a combo for $6! Deal and a great way to start the night, right? We ordered $2 Tacos. So good. We had the Pulled Pork, Roasted Chicken and the Carne Asada with chips and salsa. The salsas were different and the mango habernero tasting one was sweet and spicy. I really like this place and will be back for more.
