Had the root beer float martini (amazing), chorizo burger with fried egg, manchego, paprika and smoked mayo (transcendental) and the Krispy Kreme milkshake (playful and delicious). To take an American classic like the old burger and shake joint and inject the creativity, humor and inventiveness to the whole process takes brains and skills. I am so happy for having eaten here tonight! A 'must visit' if you're in Atlanta!
by Mohammad Rohrbach on I can't say I remember many details about this place, but I do remember it being a lot of fun. I would normally give this place four stars. The bar itself is nothing incredible, but our bartender single-handedly earned Jake's Dilemma its fifth star. We sat at the bar, and our bartender really took care of us all night long: as my just-emptied pint glass made its way from my face to the the bar, a full one slid to a stop in front of me...every time. And the place wasn't so empty that this should have been easy. I was quite impressed. And even when we could no longer see or drink anymore, he put water after water in front of us. I just don't ever see that happen at other places. The other guests were friendly, too, and just looking to have a good time. I find it rare to be at a place where people are open to randomly meet others, but Jake's Dilemma didn't feel this way. All in all, a great place. I'll definitely be back.
