by Reggie Hobkirk on Have you ever wondered to yourself "What the hell am I doing going out to a club on a MONDAY night?!?!?111//1/" Well I found myself in this position this past Monday. I've been to one other "Monday Night Social" event and I admit, I had an absolute blast. This was when it was still at Nacional however and I'll admit, I much preferred it over there. I don't know whether the crowd was different or what have you but I miss MNS at Nacional. Anyhow, the Playhouse venue isn't bad. Pretty roomy. The outdoor smoking patio was relatively small though and it was located in the back in some skeevy alley by a parking lot. Not so glamorous. The decor was nice. A main bar in the middle of the main level, a lower dance floor level, small restroom, lots of lights, very showy ... you know, a typical LA night club. The only thing I found myself turned off about was the booth seating. There were tears and it was slightly dirty and dusty (mind you my friend and I were one of the first people to enter the club so I got to see it all before it was covered with various drunk women). The crowd was mixed so if you're into that it won't disappoint. The thing that really satisfied me about this whole experience however was definitely the music and the bartenders. Stiff, stiff drinks (at a stiff price so be warned) and I absolutely love electro and house and Satoshi Tomiie was spinning and it was just amazing. Granted I was pretty plastered at this point and had my share of blank spots during the night, but from what I can recall, it was pretty good ahaha.
by Betsy K. on I am not a big meat eater so I either get the Grilled Chicken Panini or the Chinese Chicken Salad. You cant go wrong with their Sweet Potato Fries either! This place is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Phoenix. I've never had a bad experience at Delux. Great milkshakes too :]
