by samantha s. on I love this place!!! Its always a nice temp in the summer too which isnt easy to find. Its face-pased hip-hop music, like mega-mix style which makes it fun. Its not my first choice of music but you cant help but come in here and want to dance. Great place to just come drink and forget about life! I also just doscovered that they have open bar on thursdays from 1030-1130. SCORE!
by Lizbeth Loden on Just say no. If you're not on the guestlist, the cover is $20!!! Luckily, my friends and I were on the list. My other friend wasn't, but she managed to work the "I'm a cute girl" angle and got in for free. So, if I'm expecting to pay $20, this club better be nice, right? Again, just say no. The lower floor is meant for house music, no one was dancing. Went upstairs to the hip-hop room, and it was just...sad. I remember watching a girl gyrating to the beat of her own drum wearing platform flip-flops, denim short shorts, and a BEBE t-shirt. You'd figure that some sort of dress code would be enforced? The bartender was wack! He messed up numerous times on my friends' drinks, and the drinks are really watered down and expensive. The DJ didn't even spin, he had a playlist. That playlist also consisted of playing the intro to a Michael Jackson song and moving on to something really random and crappy. Don't do that to Michael! So, what was the lesson I learned? Just say no...to Roe.
by EJ C. on I came here with a friend recently, and we didn't have trouble getting in at all because 1) She knew a promoter there, no waiting in line 2) We're hot mofo's (I kid...slightly). I've actually only been here maybe 2-3 times on a Thursday, which is yes, Asian night. All 2-3 times, I've had a great time. Maybe I was just with great company each time. ;) It does become quite packed on the small dance floor, but the music is pretty bumpin', so that's not necessarily a bad thing. The slightly other negative is that here compared to the various other clubs I've been to, the guys are total vultures and will come dance up behind you, around you, and in front of you as much as they can. Seriously, slow your roll and let a girl dance in peace! The valet like all Hollywood area is ridiculously priced, but for a lazy thing like me, I'd rather just have someone else park than aimlessly look for parking myself. Don't ask me about drinks because I don't remember how much those cost as I mostly go for the company, music, and dancing. Otherwise, it's a great-looking place to just have fun on a Thursday night, whether you're asian or not.
